Grandma Rita Visits, everyday moments, friend outings, & milestones in {September} 2017

Fall is flying in and things aren't slowing down any! My jaw dropped while uploading the *223* pics for this post. What the?! Here we go....!

I swear Savannah grew up over night! Up another clothing size, up another diaper size, and is quite the pro at scooting on her back! I went to get her out of her crib this morning, and she had scooted all the way to the bottom with her feet kicking though the slats. Seriously?! She is grabbing everything with her hands now and her hand eye coordination is on point! She is drooling like crazy starting to teethe early just like her sister. Slow down girl! It's only been 3 months!

Short hair, don't care! All READY to start preschool!

Savannah spent the better part of the morning trying to put BOTH her toys in her mouth at the SAME time ha ha! Teething probs...... #droolmonster

The day was crazy and Adalynn was such a good helper with housework & errands, so I treated her to Menchie's, just me & her <3

Quick trip to Winco and I turn around to find this goober taking selfies on her tablet! Ohhhh dear....

This makes my heart happy <3 Every time I sit down to feed Savannah, she squeezes on to the same finger, cuddles her head right in the crack of my elbow, and just gazes up at me. The look in her eyes completely melts me, she knows exactly who her mama is!

Sister love <3

Grandma Rita came to Washington to visit for the week and brought Adalynn a sucker! She didn't enjoy it or anything...

Squeaky clean & a huge smile to go with it!

The curls are comin'!!

Adalynn had her {FIRST} day of preschool! No fear, walked right in waving saying, "Bye mom!" She was SO excited and couldn't wait to tell me all about her day when I picked her up :) These are the sweet moments of life!

Right after Adalynn's first day of preschool, we took off for Ocean Shores to meet up with Jordan! He had a golf tournament there for work so we took Grandma to show her one of our favorite places on the coast!

Adalynn found the FIRST sand dollar of the day, alive! She had a blast finding rocks & seashells with Grandma too :)

Never a dull moment with Adalynn at any hotel... Refused to sleep and then ended up like this. Ha ha!

She has napped and snuggled like this since she was a tiny baby and I absolutely love it!!

We sure love this happy little squish! Those chipmunk cheeks and that bow are totally killin' me!

Took Grandma Rita to the Columbia river for a little Sunday walk along the water. Her and Adalynn were quite the pair collecting sea shells! We even saw a dragonfly and a whole flock of geese. Always gorgeous scenery and good company!

Get it girl! She loves her some corn on the cob! #Idahoborn

This girl is just too sneaky for her own good! I was just telling Jordan the day before how surprised I was that Adalynn found the candy corn from when I got out the fall decor a few days ago.... Well today, she more than found it! While Jordan and I were visiting with his mom after dinner, we thought Adalynn was playing upstairs. We went to clear up to find her hiding at the end of the table, devouring as many candy corn as she could... I couldn't help but laugh as she froze mid chew, and turned around with her mouth wide open, full of candy corn! Caught red handed!

Sleepy girl all snuggled :)

We kept the party going with Grandma Rita and spent the day in Seaside! The weather was beautiful! Nice, sunny, & warm with a cool breeze :) The crazy blue sky and water was breathtaking! We loved seeing the huge kits flying too. We made sure to show Grandma a good time.

While we were at the beach, Jordan spotted a crab crawling out in the water! It kept getting washed in and then would crawl back out. It was so cool! Adalynn had no fear and tried to stick her finger in his mouth! ha ha Um no girl, let's not do that.....

Our final fun day with Grandma Rita took us to the zoo! Sunny and hot it was! Adalynn had a blast showing all the animals to Grandma and daddy even lifted her up to be face to face with the orangutang! Benefit #268 of having a super tall daddy :) Despite being so sweaty and hot, Savannah talked up a storm, giggled like crazy, and played with her tongue constantly. What an awesome day it was!

LOVE this family of mine!!

When you like your binki, but teething is life, so you keep it close juuuuuust in case ha ha! A toddler and a teether... Lord help me!

Another perfect dental check up! Such a big girl. Hard to believe that next time we come, Savannah will be getting one too!

The weather is cooling off a bit and it feels like Fall is rollin' in! Can't even handle Savannah's olive rufflebutt leggings and headband! Oh and that big tongue smile too :) All the feels for Fall!

We are so grateful that Adalynn is able to go to preschool this year! She is totally loving it, and talks my ear off all about her day while eating her after school snack :) We sure lucked out!

One breath away from rolling over! She is having some trouble getting her booty up and over, but I don't blame her... She is THREE pounds more than Adalynn was at this age! When she gives up trying she will just lay there on her side, sucking her hand like, "To heck with this!" Oh we sure love all 18.5 lbs of our little squish! #chubbybabieshavemorefun

Adalynn riding her trike nbd... Notice anything odd? One shoe is a green size 9 jelly, the other shoe is a blue size 8 jelly! Trike riding is serious business, no time to worry about matching! All that's required is a smile :)

It is amazing how what you really need always seems to find a way Savannah's reflux has been pretty severe and mommy is her go to. There have been a lot of tears, snuggling, and late nights. While I was frustrated with not being able to do the million things I had to get done, it was perfection to just sit and snuggle her so she could actually get some rest. #ihatereflux

When your morning starts off like this, you know it is going to be a fantastic Friday!!

I love that Adalynn always wants to start the day with a story. She comes in our room every morning with a stack of books, ready to read! I am sure going to miss this one day....

Our cute morning girls! Happy go lucky and ready to play!

Someone was excited to be at Costco ;)

A trip to the Humane Society to go see and pet the dogs <3 She loves it!

Sunday Best. She is so beautiful!!

Savannah had other plans during Sacrament Meeting ha ha!

Afternoon movie snuggles to watch Storks! It was a party!

We ALL actually got to take a Sunday nap together! We had to share our bed to make it happen, but hey, totally worth it!

We used to do cookie Sunday and I miss it! We whipped out some yummy HUGE cookies while daddy watched the basketball game :)

Sunday shenanigans!

Not feeling good and mom has the magic touch <3

As long as you aren't putting her in her carseat, she is a happy little squish! She squeals non-stop when she is excited and it is the BEST! The minute Jordan walks in from work and she can hear his voice, she looks around to find him. We have another Daddy's girl on our hands <3

Can't handle her cuteness!

Ikea & Dizzy Castle for a fun afternoon!

Just like her mama, Adalynn is already dreading the upcoming rainy season. She told me over and over that it couldn't start to rain because then she couldn't ride her bike or play outside. She had SO much sadness in her voice, it broke my heart! Jordan came home from work and busted out her skates in the garage, so that helped a little. She kept all the pads on and switched to her bike right after. I was dying between her shoes on the wrong feet, all her safety pads still on, her helmet smashed on her curly hair, and yet so happy to just be riding in the garage.

That moment when you roll halfway over and realize it ain't even worth goin the rest of the way ha ha!! Those rolls though!

More storytime <3

Adalynn's first SHARE day at school! She was so excited to take her Doctor bag to show her class :) She even practiced a few times that morning!

Adalynn was having a tough time cleaning up her toys and refused to at one point. So I bagged them up to "throw away". She worked hard doing chores to earn them back a few weeks later and you woulda thought it was Christmas.....

Miss S was quite the ham and cackling like crazy! Yup I can't just pick one. The last one sums up our everyday reality right now... Poor girl! She was covered in it! Life with reflux....

New school clothes and ready to go to school. She completely adores her teacher, Miss Kristine. I want to make sure and jot all these cute details down! While waiting to go into class, she is always so excited that she can't seem to stay still! She talks to me about everything under the sun, fidgets, walks around, and says hi to everyone just to pass the whole FIVE minutes she has to wait to go in! It is pretty darn cute! No hesitation to walk right in, say hi to her teacher, and hang her backpack up on her pink labeled hook. After school she loves to show me all her creations. I love that she knows that important stuff goes on the fridge, so she always asks to hang it up. Our fridge is covered in pictures of our family and Adalynn's art creations and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is what life is all about....

First baby food! Squash was clearly not a hit, but we are excited to get going on baby food to help her reflux :)

Rub-a-dub dub, Savannah's out of the tub!!

A childhood favorite and now one of Adalynn's favorite books! I love it!!

Icecream on the way home from school to celebrate FRIDAY!!

Happy 4 months to our little 19lb squish! Oh man we love this girl SO much! We celebrated by having a fun family Saturday going swimming. She is so close to rolling over and keeps trying really hard! She loves jumping in the jumper, daddy singing to her, bathtime, talking, chewing on everything, falling asleep on mommy's shoulder, cackling, snuggling her blankie, and kisses from sister. Oh and sweet potatoes are totally her jam! I can't even shovel those things fast enough! Her NINE month clothes are getting really snug, yes you read that right, NINE month clothes! We sure love seeing her personality shine through everyday!

The last several days up to this picture were a total game changer for Savannah! She has done so great with baby food and what a difference it has made! She went from throwing up 20+ times a day to maybe 2 or 3. She has slept better, been happier, stayed fuller, and her overall demeanor has improved a lot! She is doing so much better already.

Costa Vida before swimming! Love these girls!

We headed to Firstenberg to swim! The white noise of the water running put Savannah rigggghhht to sleep ha ha. She couldn't even try to keep her eyes open!

Adalynn was a fish and swam and jumped all over! Savannah kicked in the water and played a bit, and then slept the rest of the time on my shoulder. We had to beg Adalynn to go down the slide just once and the rest is history... We couldn't get her off of it after that! The videos and outtakes are hilarious. She took turns going down with Mom & Dad, but for some reason, Dad went MUCH faster haha  Everyone came home and zonked out afterwards and then woke up to yummy chili in the crockpot. Perfect Saturday!

Fall snacks!!! Yes!!!!

Her peace sign was a little droopy ha ha She is just too cool <3

I was in the middle of changing a poopy diaper, and in walked Jordan with roses because he appreciates all I do! Wow! He still blows me away often with his thoughtfulness! Just what I needed :)

He even brought a single one for this special princess too. She was over the moon excited!

We went on a fun adventure with friends to Moulton Falls bridge! Fun to explore a new place and take in all the gorgeous scenery. Adalynn was thrilled to collect the huge Fall leaves and make a bouquet. Some other highlights along the trail were caterpillars, collecting rocks & pinecones, stopping for snacks, and looking for things on our scavenger hunt list! And yes, she is totally wearing a tank top TWO days before October.... Our high was 86! It was a warm one!

Proud of our squish! She has been doing so awesome at soothing herself to sleep on her own at bedtime in her crib! This little lady is all about routine, just like Adalynn.

Because this is what we do while Adalynn is at preschool....

Savannah downed a whole container of sweet potatoes, apples, and then a 4oz bottle before bed. She was down for the count for the night!

Adalynn and I had a "sleepover" :) Daddy made us a sweet fort with lights inside that spanned her entire room! Adalynn came home from school and was so excited! We rented one of her favorite movies, Trolls, and made cookies first. Then we took the party inside her fort and played Minnie Kitchen, colored Paw Patrol pictures, read books, and had a serious tickle war. She was thrilled to sleep in her frozen sleeping bag with me. She slept with her teddy bear and I got her doll to sleep with. It was a fun mom and me night!

"Here Mom, I'll go get my stool and read to Sabannah while you get dressed!"

We came across the CUTEST decorative pillow at IKEA ha ha!

Ending the September post with beautiful PNW skies <3 Gorgeous view in between the spells of rain!
