August 2015 {PART TWO}

The second part of August was just as jam packed as the first part! We sure love Summer!

Can't help but stop to snap a picture of that beauty! Its rare to see the rays so clear!

Just a little drive after a long Sunday nap :) Her favorite outside toy!

Kerin came up for the day on her birthday to go to Roaring Springs for the day! We had yummy food at Buffalo Wild Wings and played all day at the park! Adalynn played with a  babysitter for the 2nd half so the adults could do some slides together :)

All tuckered out and headed home to nap!

After picking her up from being watched while we finished the waterpark, she was such a ham! All smiles, kisses, and hugs <3

I love hanging with this sassy pants all day long! She is feisty, but the cuteness trumps all!

Those CURLS!!! Ahhh I can't take all the cuteness!!

There was a pretty severe fire very close to us for a long time called the Soda Fire. It was only about 25 minutes away so we got crazy smoky skies and smells for a couple weeks! Volunteer firefighter crews were working like mad all around the clock to contain it. Thankfully now it has been put out completely and no more of this nasty brown sky!

Adalynn is getting pretty dang good at her selfies.... I love going back through my phone to find gems like these that she has taken of herself! ha ha!

I'm SO grateful for a husband who gets me. He gets my struggles and weaknesses, and always seems to say the most understanding things to make me feel better. An overwhelming and emotional day ended with so many sweet things ❤ Can't beat yummy ice cream and this view of my favorite people playing at the park. Being a wife and mommy have a great deal of rewards, but also come with some hard struggles. Tomorrow is a new day and I'm so thankful to call my best friend my husband

I headed back into the orthopedic doctor to discuss surgery on my wrist! Adalynn gave all sorts of sassy faces like this when they came out and told us he was running 20 min behind ;)

Another fun day at Roaring Springs! Season Passes have been the BEST! I love random trips to swim and play together!

Ugh how did I get so lucky?! Love these 2 silly goobers!

Her favorite part of the park... the kiddie shore fountains!
He was jumping up and down with her and she was cracking up.. I couldn't help my start snapping to catch that smile!!

Trips to Petco to see the animals are high up on her thrill list :) Its like a free zoo with tons of animals!

Did I mention how much she loves animals? I love that on an evening walk, these are right in our backyard! Love where we live!

Just a girl and her turtle :) Who needs a dog?!

The fact that I didn't have to take Adalynn out at all during Sacrament Meeting was a huge reason to celebrate! Love family time and lazy afternoon Sunday naps :)

Mondays are brutal and when Dr. Pepper just doesn't cut it, you bring in peanut butter and chocolate for reinforcement. YUM!!

Always an adventure with this cutie! A day of play and shopping at Target :) WIN!

Too Cool!

Cruising around the mall and stopped for a bus ride. She was thrilled that it moved and made sounds :) She even scored a little boyfriend while she was riding. Oh geez and so it begins!

Always so funny to check on her before bed! She is always sporting a funny pose or has her feet hanging out. She definitely got my wild sleeping habits!

The day before school started again for Justin, My family came up to play in Boise for the day! We did a little shopping and had some fun at Cabela's :) Adalynn is crazy about the aquarium there and drove some four wheelers and razrs with Grandma. Grandpa even bought her her very own moose purse! What a lucky girl!

We also hung out at the village so Justin could do some "street magic" with random people walking around. He recently got a GoPro, so my dad got suckered into filming him! ha ha we were dying laughing!

Ah the joys of homeownership! Wasps under the stairs in the backyard. Some girls want a knight in shining armor... mine just happens to come with a mirror and wasp spray! ha ha!

Adalynn makes sure to do some quality control while Jordan mows the lawn! Every time he turned the mower off to empty the bag, she would clap and yell, "All done!!" Too funny

This girl always has a book! And a cheeser smile to go with it :)

After my wisdom teeth started making their debut sideways, we scheduled surgery and prepared for the worst! I was put out for all 4 sideways wisdom teeth to be removed and it was less than pretty!

The night before, we went shopping to get some dinners for Jordan and Adalynn as well as some soft foods for me to eat after surgery. We also had a yummy steak dinner the night before since I wouldn't be able to eat anything for a while!

Jordan was in the bathroom and Adalynn and I did some cheesy selfies before I had chipmunk cheeks!

Ugh, the procedure itself went well and I was headed home to recover! If I only knew what was to come.....

In full chipmunk cheek mode the next day!

What a ride the first two days were! For such a yucky time, it turned out to be pretty smooth! The procedure went well, the swelling was very minimal, and recovery was very relaxing! Nurse Jordan gave me nothing short of the white glove service! I am so grateful for such a caring and compassionate hubby heart emoticon Everything from soft snacks to my med schedule to taking care of Adalynn and beyond! He is seriously the BEST heart emoticonAdalynn was quite the cute little well behaved girl for him too. Jordan was moving all my scrapbook stuff into our room so I could be by the TV, and I went in to check on what Adalynn was up to and found this! Just chillin on her ottoman reading her Elmo book. Such a cute little stinker! LOVE my family!

I wanted to get out, but still couldn't eat much, so we had some menchie's frozen yogurt :) I think Adalynn was loving my soft foods diet restrictions ha ha!

Ok, so after I was all positive and thinking things were great, things took a horrible turn for the worst. In a nutshell, I thought the complications would never end. My bottom left socket gave me a serious run for my money! As pictured below, the socket was about the size of a dime, no joke! It ended up dry socketing TWICE and needed to be packed several times. I have never been in so much pain.... EVER.  Crazy how your mouth is such a tender area and yet affects EVERYTHING! After having to have it continually packed, an xray showed that a piece of packing was stuck clear down in the socket. No matter how much they rinsed and digged down, they couldn't get it. I had to go BACK in, get numbed up, and they had to REOPEN the socket to get it out. OUUUUUUUUCH!!! Seriously was the worst. This was over the course of several weeks. After removing the packet, it mildly dry socketed again due to being reopened up. WOW! It was pretty much the worst. After about a month, it finally started healing and on the way to getting better. After all those crazy complications, I am so grateful for such an awesome Oral Surgeon that took the best care of me! Glad that is over... Surgery #2 will have to wait till next year. That was a ride!

Adalynn is the best... This was after my dry socket was packed for the 2nd time

We had some fun at the fair and Adalynn was obsessed with being able to pet all the animals! In case anyone was confused about what sound each animal made, she made sure to let everyone know!

Such a ham all the time!!

That smile melts me! Oranges, a favorite, for breakfast!

Never a dull moment with this hurricane! Always getting into something or making a mess....

Who knew a box could be so fun! I love playing with this doll face <3

Headed to Twin Falls to go to a wedding in Idaho Falls... Of course, Miss Adalynn is buried in a book :)

Had to sneak in a quick swing before we left Gma and Gmpa's house!

Helping Gma Drive! She was cracking up while Grandpa was washing the windshield in Idaho Falls :)

Us girlies at Blake and Kenzie's wedding!

My dad, mom, Morgan, Vicki, Scott, Grandma Morrow, and Shellie

Kenzie and Blake

Headed to church with Grandma Morrow!

OH this makes my heart happy.. Happy Sabbath Day! Not very often do we get to do church with Grandma Morrow in Idaho Falls! Adalynn sure has an awesome Great Grandma!

Such a little turd during Sacrament Meeting. She have Grandma a run for her money ha ha

After church, we stopped to see the Killians, our good friends! Miss these guys! Adalynn sure loved playing with them.

Last stop before we headed back to Twin Falls. We put some flowers on Grandpa Morrows Grave!

Hard to believe he has been gone 10 years already. He left way too soon. While we were there I showed Adalynn a picture of her great grandpa and she sure loved the truck on his headstone. I can only imagine if he was still here with us ❤ I'm sure he would be a softie for Adalynn's contagious smile and together they would share a love for tractors. Incredibly grateful for such good examples of hard working men in my life. Adalynn and I are so lucky to have such wonderful great grandpas, grandpas, and daddy too ❤ Life is too short, love deeply.

Such a good traveler! Hadn't even made it 2 minutes down the road, and she was OUT!

Grandma's two babies fighting her lap!

Sunday evening, we headed to Thompson Park. Adalynn LOVES uncle Justin. She held his hand everywhere.

Doggies barking over the fence. She is obsessed.

Justin took her on the longboard and she LOVED it!

Love these two <3 Look at those big smiles!!
He would run along side her while she rode on the board. It was so cute!

She kept begging to keep riding so they pulled her all the way to the car!

We made it home Monday afternoon, and daddy was just a little excited to see us. He took out some left over sparklers and had some fun in the driveway!

She was so excited to be home! She ran all over her room and was getting every toy out that she has!

Busy day and all tuckered out, but happy to be home!!

Whew what a second half of August! We have had so much fun with Summer and are swinging right into Fall with some cooler weather. Here is to welcoming September!!

Love, Jordan & Elise
