Whew another month has flown by and our little family has been very busy! So many fun summer things and changes with baby A!
We kicked off the beginning of June with going swimming at the Aquatic Center with our friends, the Hemmerts! It was Adalynn's first time swimming and she looked so cute in her little suit! She only popped in for a minute and didn't really know what to think of the cool water, much different from her warm baths!
Back to her normal spunky self after her afternoon nap and some serious cuddling with mommy.... tongue and all!!
Such a good daddy to our princess. Happy first Father's day!
Sad baby and just wanted to be snuggled and held...
She LOVES bath time and kicking in the tub!
I just love the mirror in the backseat of the car and being able to watch Adalynn's face as we ride along! Caught her sleeping.... so precious!
On Tuesdays, Jordan plays basketball up at the church with a bunch of guys! Adalynn and I always go to watch him and have so much fun! Another wife also comes so it is fun to chat while watching our men play :) I love Tuesday ball nights!
Jordan had a district meeting in Spokane during the week and so Adalynn and I tagged along to shop while he was working all day. Adalynn was super fussy and just not herself. The next day was her 6 week checkup. Come to find out, baby girl had an ear infection and STILL had her thrush! uggghhh poor girl :( She was also having issues with spitting up and choking, so they put her on a special formula, Nutramigen, to see if that would help. In the midst of all of that, I totally forgot it was shot day and Jordan was working in Riggins! Our doctor does them at 6 weeks instead of 2 months. YIKES! Beings that I forgot, I wasn't emotionally prepared for that.... I sat in the corner, closed my eyes and plugged my ears! She had 3 shots that got covered with pink camo bandaids and was a trooper. She screamed and then continued to whimper and whine after I cuddled her. Talk about breaking a momma's heart!!! The rest of the afternoon was pretty rough. Sad baby and just wanted to be cuddled. After waking up from a long afternoon nap, she snapped out of it and was back to her normal spunky self :)
Happy baby girl BEFORE I remembered that it was shot day....
That following weekend brought Jordan's on call weekend in Spokane.... and we got to take Adalynn with us this time! I was super nervous to stay in a hotel with a newborn, but she did awesome! Funny side story.... It was the first time we had used the pack N play since she was born. It took some time to set up, but the take down was quite funny. We got up and got ready in the hotel Sunday morning and were ready to go check out. Problem was, Jordan couldn't how to figure out how to get the Pack N Play to fold up. I tried too. It would fold up or go down! Finally, we checked out, took everything else out to the car, and Jordan went back up to the room to figure out how to fold it up so we could leave. I sat in the car with Adalynn for a good 20 minutes wondering how it was going and where he was. Next thing I know, I see Jordan walking out the hotel lobby doors carrying the pack N play half folded up in his arms and a mad look on his face! I started laughing so hard I could barely breathe! He threw it on the grass next to the parking spot and said, "you figure it out!" Oh man I won't forget that for sure.... I took a few more tries by me and a failed google attempt before I got it to fold up and put it in the car. OH man! That weekend was also Father's Day, so we all got to hang out as a family to celebrate and have fun!
All dressed to shop while daddy works!
Such a good daddy to our princess. Happy first Father's day!

Sickness is no fun and it hit our house hard! After moving some friends into their new house, the next day Jordan was really sick and Adalynn had a bit of it too! Jordan threw up on non stop for a day straight and confined himself to our room in hopes not to get me or Adalynn sick. Adalynn had diarrhea out of control and a touch of it too... Not fun! SO hard to see both of them sick. I was nurse Elise for a few days. Lots of snuggles!
Slept like crazy! Poor girl :(
Shortly after, Adalynn had to go back in for a recheck for her ear infection. Come to find out, her ear infection amoxicillin medicine CANCELED out her thrush medicine so it had flared up again. AHHHH!!! Also her intense day case of Diarrhea caused a lovely painful bright red yeast infection on her little bum. She was also having some serious issues eating... arching her back, screaming crying, moving her whole body during her bottle, milk coming out of her nose while throwing up, and much more. After being looked at and swallowing a dye, the doctor discovered that she had a pretty severe case of acid reflux. This girl can't catch a break!! We have pretty much lived at the Doctor's office since she was 3 weeks old for one issue or another. She is such a healthy girl (in the 96th percentile in everything), but has had so many digestion issues in only the first few months that no one could control her getting. She got on several more meds and hoping for a happier baby.
Acid Reflux is no joke and is so hard to watch her go through! Lots of snuggles for our sad little princess!
This is Jordan's idea of babysitting... why doesn't she do that for me??!! Must be daddy's touch and big chest to stretch out on :)
Having the park in our backyard has been so fun since we have lived in Lewiston. Jordan loves to play random pick up basketball games when he sees guys down there playing :) Love that we can watch from our backyard! Now that the weather is in the triple digits ALL the time, it is hard to play outside, but he enjoys it when he can!
Part of Jordan's territory is Pullman and Moscow. He has been working hard on a huge install at Washington State University in Pullman. We got to drive to visit him while he was doing the project and take him some extra parts! He loved getting to see us and Adalynn enjoyed sleeping on the drive :) I just love watching her in the mirror!
Feeling a little better and all smiles one morning! We just love that sweet girl!!
Being able to cook dinner had been a task previously with Adalynn not feeling good and wanting to be held. She now loves to bounce in her bouncer or sit in her highchair while I cook or bake! A rainy afternoon brought some baking of banana bread and my little baking assistant fell asleep! So cute :)
So, while I was pregnant, I developed a bad hand condition due to the severe swelling. It came on about 2 weeks before Adalynn was born and my OB doctor just kept telling me to give it a little more time and it would go away. It got to the point that I couldn't write or even cut an apple! I would also drop things and the diaper bag on a regular basis. It was so painful and scary. I finally went in to the hand orthopedic specialist. I wasn't imagining things! I was told I had a severe case of a hand condition.. It starts with a Q but is a reallllly long name! I had to get an injection that day which hurt like heck! I screamed! It also required a big arm brace and physical therapy twice a week. I was so bummed but happy that it was fixable without surgery :) It has now almost completely healed and I can write and function again. YAY!!!
One of my friends, Kirby, had her beautiful baby boy a month after Adalynn was born so of course we had to do some newborn pics ;)
How cute is he??!!!
Now that we have a little princess in our house, I finally have someone to watch the bachelorette with!! She is just as shocked with some of the send homes as I am ;)
Such hard work staying caught up on all the bachelorette drama, a nap was required after that :)
Ahh mom! no more pictures! I am eating!!
Happy girl to be outside at the Scott's new house while we roasted marshmallows!
She loves her naps snuggled with a blankie by her face :)
Lately, baby A has been kicking like crazy and being super active! I caught this video one night while she was so excited to watch her mobile. This explains my WHOLE pregnancy! ha ha
We may have a new little queen at our house that takes up so much of our time, but Jordan never ceases to do the little things to keep the spark. I just love him!
Finally after 8 weeks of my swelling still not going down, I just went got my ring sized so I could wear it again! I missed it! Felt quite naked without it! Hey look... I'm married again!!
It is such a crack up when Adalynn sleeps. I could stare at her the whole time while she naps just laughing at all the funny faces she makes :)
A Friday night brought date night for Jordan to take his girls out to Red Lobster. Since that is his work account, he wanted to show baby A off to the manager that he deals with so I was instructed to doll her up. This is what we came up with! Love our little cupcake :)
A few weeks after moving our friends, the Scotts, into their new house, we had to have a BBQ to break it in :) It's a rare occasion to get a mommy/daughter photo so we capitalized on the situation!
And last of the news, our baby girl is 2 months old!!!
