{JULY} A month of celebrations!

The month of July brought several celebrations for our family and I am ready to spill all the details! These exciting things include the 4th of July trip, Our 2nd anniversary, Physical Therapy News, a happier baby, and much more!

We had been anticipating the first part of July for a looooong time! We planned to travel to Twin Falls for the 4th of July :) It was Adalynn's first long trip in the car and I was so nervous! 7 hours is so long to be in the car, especially with a little one who HATES their carseat. I planned to be in for a looong ride, but we could barely contain our excitement to see all our family and friends! I had family up from Utah and Arizona plus my family that lives in Twin Falls. Jordan has his family that lives in Twin Falls plus some long time family friends visiting clear from Simi Valley California! Needless to say, we had a busy week planned full of fun!

I was stressed out trying to pack all 3 of us and let's be honest, packing with a new baby is crazy!! You have to have extra of everything, just the right outfits, and you can't forget the necessities! Adalynn is spoiled and always wants to be held which means a hard time packing for me! I decided to cram her in the snugli carrier so she could pack with me. After about a half hour, I looked down and she was out! I guess packing in the snugli is hard work :)

After getting all packed and cramming it all into the car, we set off for Twin Falls. Adalynn did sooooo awesome on the long 7 hour drive! I was so relieved! She slept part of the way and was happy and smiley the rest of the way. I couldn't have asked for a better ride. Our baby girl is such a good little traveler!

We got into Twin Falls late, but saw both families! A lot of our family hadn't met Adalynn yet so she was quite overwhelmed!

The day before the 4th of July, we had a full busy day of boating planned with all my family :) I woke up to our first day in Twin Falls to this sweet sight.... heart officially melted! Notice her sleepy smile too! Love my hubby and baby girl so much!

We spent the WHOLE day at Wilson Lake doing all kinds of boating fun! We had a picnic with all our family and extended family too :) Adalynn was a trooper in the sun all day and LOVED the vibration from riding in the boat most of the day. We tubed, skied, and wakeboarded behind the boat and rode the jet skiis too!!
Some shots from the day :)

Love our little family! We are water people!

Yes I got to ride with my sweetie :)

LOVE him <3

Jordan, Sami, and Elise

Miss Sami could not get enough of Adalynn! Every chance she could she was holding her and making her smile :)

Adalynn didn't mind the sun and cat napped all day long in her little suit, even while on the boat!

Mushy mushy kisses!

Justin, Sami, and Jordan Tubing

Eric was sure happy climbing back in the boat after tubing, thankful he didn't crash too hard!

Oh boy Justin, hanging on tight for that turn!

What a ladies man! Yeah my brother Justin is quite the stud :)

Gina had so much fun skiing too!

Grandpa and Grandma Rice loved riding in the boat

Sherri and Trent

Great Grandma Rice loved hanging out with Adalynn on the dock!

By the end of the day we were all soooooo worn out and were headed to go eat... but Adalynn was still all smiles from having a blast all day! Other than hating the million times I sprayed sunscreen on her, she was such a happy girl all day on the water. That's our girl!

The next day, the 4th of July, called for a special outfit for Baby A. I couldn't wait to deck her out in red, white, and blue and get a cute pic. Here is our little All American Beauty on her FIRST 4th of July complete with a red chevron skirt!!

We spent the holiday hanging out with Jordan's family and their friends visiting from Simi Valley, CA! It was so fun to hang out, relax, BBQ, and watch fireworks. The guys went Frisbee golfing, the girls looked at ritzy houses, and Sherre's girls loved to wrestle with Jordan and hold Adalynn. Nothing better than holidays with family and friends!

While we were in Twin Falls, we had a fun night going to the drive in. I was hesitant to leave Adalynn, but my mom had fun with her for a few hours and put her to bed. So weird being baby-less for the night, but a little mini date was so fun to see the new X-men movie with my man!

Like always Sunday was church with both families and I wanted to eat up little Adalynn. Her first wearing of a "princess dress" and she was such a doll! Everyone loved meeting her in my home ward and it was so fun to see those familiar faces with our new little family.

Our anniversary landed on our Twin Falls trip too! July 7th marked our 2 year anniversary of being married and what better way to spend it than where it all began?! Looking back at our first date picture and then all the way to now, it has been a long road! A huge move far away from home, a new car, and a beautiful baby girl are just a few of our "firsts" we have experienced in the last 2 years! If there is one thing that I have learned while being married to Jordan, it is that {HOME} is wherever I am with him. We have created such a beautiful life together and are headed for our dreams! It hasn't always been a smooth ride, but anything worth having is worth fighting for. We spent the day relaxing, going to lunch, and going boating again that night. I got Jordan WWE wrestling tickets LIVE in Portland, which is his favorite! His brother Nolan will be coming up to go with him to the event in a few weeks :)

Our first date! May 2009

Happy 2nd Anniversary!!!!

To wrap up our 4th of July Twin Falls Trip, I did a photography session for a friend. Her kids are so sweet! I had so much fun, even though the weather was in the high hundreds during the shoot!

We were sad for our trip to come to an end, but had to head home! Lewiston welcomed us back with crazy heat!

YIKES!!!

Adalynn was sooooo happy to be home after that long week trip away from everything she knows! It was so fun to watch her facial expressions as she recognized her swing, play gym, and room! Jordan and I just sat and watched her once we got home because it was so cute! She wouldn't stop smiling and giggling and kicking like crazy :)

Uggghh pinch me!! Is this real life?!! My day starts and ends with this little angel and I wouldn't have it any other way. So blessed to be her mom!

That week trip to Twin gave us a break from living at the doctor's office, but after coming home, her reflux had flared again and she was still having some serious problems! She was constantly choking and the medicine they put her on for her reflux wasn't helping much. Not only was she miserable eating and breathing, but her poops were out of control, literally blowing out several times a day. So... BACK to the doctor we went.

I was not a happy momma and bound and determined to get the bottom of the issue beings that no one could figure out what was wrong with our little girl. The doctor was pretty concerned after hearing our worries and ordered an upper GI at the local hospital. We took her in and I was a ball of nerves. I didn't want anything to be wrong, but at the same time we wanted answers to why all these things were happening! We just wanted a happy baby and had been struggling with that since she was born from all her digestion issues. We went in for the upper GI test and she handled it like a champ. They turned her all crazy kinds of ways and up on her sides while she was drinking the radioactive dye in her bottle. The doctor watched her digest it on the Xray machine and all he came up with was that her stomach emptied a little slower, but that didn't give us any answers and it didn't affect her reflux any. Sooo we scheduled for a follow up with her pediatrician and she put her on a stronger Acid Reflux medicine.

After being miserable and in and out of the doctor's office for tests and appointments, I was so happy to have a smiley moment with baby A a few afternoons after that! She sure melted my heart! Love her cheeky smile, I just want to eat up her cheeks! Uggghhh how did we get such a cute little ball of attitude?!

I have continued going to physical therapy for my wrist, as previously described in the last post. It has been improving a lot and I have been anxious to be cleared to stop. Well it was a celebration for me to find out that my wrist had completely healed and aside from exercises from home to continue, I didn't have to go anymore! I was so thrilled to have so much mobility back and be able to resume daily activities :)

Headed to my LAST physical therapy appointment! YAY!

Adalynn was quite the ham at my last appointment. All smiles, tongue and everything! She kept the nurses entertained that is for sure!

As usual, she had to fill her diaper while we were there. Can you tell this is her infamous "poop face?" So funny, I always get a good laugh from her faces and sounds while she fills her diaper!

Well after being on Maternity Leave for close to 3 months, I wasn't big on the idea of going back to work managing the dental office. While I was pregnant I was determined to go back, but the thought of leaving our little girl with anyone while I went to work just made me sick to my stomach! It is amazing how those motherly emotions kick in after your little one is here! I am only working one day a week in the office, which is when the doctor comes over from Oregon. That is about all I could handle of having her at the babysitter, but it gives us a little extra to do trips and fun things! The other days I can manage the practice demands on my own time while taking Adalynn with me, and even work from home! I am so grateful for the flexibility from the doctor I work for to continue overseeing and building the success of the practice while not giving up time being a mom :) The first "doctor day" back to work, Jordan stayed home with Adalynn. I was a nervous mess, but Jordan helped ease my mommy anxiety by sending me pictures throughout the day and even coming in to see me at work with Adalynn! SO thankful for such a thoughtful and understanding hubby! The next week after that, our friend Allie watched her and will continue watching her one day a week. While I fully trust her to take good care of our princess, I can't wait to pick her up at the end of the day! Makes my "at home" days that much more sweeter!

Much anticipated snuggles after her first day at the babysitters! I couldn't wait to hold her all night long!

Whaaaaaat????!! It's mommy's stay home day?! Yay!!!!!

Adalynn went back in to see her pediatrician, Dr. Justis, for a follow up on her new reflux medicine. While that was now helping her eating, her severe choking had not changed. Her Dr. decided to switch her from the special Nutramigen formula to a special Acid Reflux formula. It is a little heavier which helps to keep it from coming up and down her throat and burning and hurting.

I am 13 pounds 13 ounces!!!!!

We had just a little fun in the mirror while waiting for the doctor to come in!
She used to have to take breaks in between each ounce due to her horrible reflux, but thankfully now, the new formula is working wonders and we are seeing a much happier comfortable baby, full of smiles! We are sooo thrilled!!!

Such a good little sleeper!

Just a stroll through Costco getting some samples :) We just love her so much!

I always THOUGHT I loved pictures. Then I had a beautiful baby girl and a family of my own. Now they are my life, legacy, and continued passion. Motherhood has brought such an overwhelming set of emotions. There are several times a day when I just stare at Adalynn forever wondering how we got so lucky to have such a sweet girl or what I did right to deserve such a hardworking husband that works 10-12 hours a day to provide for us so we can have so much and do so many fun things. I just love our little family and life so much! Simple moments of emotion and gratitude are life changing <3

We celebrated pioneer day with our Lewiston ward at the Aquatic Center swim! Adalynn wasn't a fan of the cool water that was so different from her warm bath water, but she survived. We had a lot of fun and loved watching Jordan go down the water slides with our friends!

Our lovely 1:00 church time is right in the middle of Adalynn's nap. She was too excited for 3rd hour to nap though :) Good thing she is so stinkin cute!

Just a typical Saturday morning at our house! All stretched out sleeping on mommy's lap in her monkey pajamas :)

We just finished up having a garage sale with the Scott Family and now to enjoy the rest of our Saturday!

SO many things to celebrate in July and August is rushing in! More fun planned before the summer is over and many more pictures :)

Love,
Jordan & Elise
