February LOVE

We spent February trying not to drown in the tons and tons of record rain while still trying to have a little fun :) Hard to believe that we are already in March after just ringing in the New Year! We will be meeting our sweet new baby girl before we know it! Here goes the February recap :)

While Jordan was in Minnesota for work, Adalynn and I managed to have some fun together. I swear she can't get any cuter! Sometimes she gets spoiled with new toys and this time just happened to be a ninja turtle :) It makes all sorts of noises and voices and she thought it was the coolest thing ever! We would Skype with Jordan and she would have to have her ninja turtle right there to show him and have him make noises for Jordan. It was cute!

Adalynn is quite the little fish, so we went swimming while Jordan was away too! She had a blast, but we were sooo ready to have daddy back home!

Aaaaand all is right with the world again.....He is finally home!!

We are still desperately trying to do more date nights and this made date night #3 of the year already! Feelin' lucky!

Adalynn totally has him wrapped around her finger! Watching them sit and read tons of stories just makes my heart burst! They snuggled and giggled and snickered for quite some time. I'm so grateful for the close relationship they have and how much they love each other <3

Friends over for the Super Bowl! This was the reaaaaaal half time show ha ha

Jordan came home in between work calls to set up some accounts and make a few calls. Of course Adalynn has to be in his lap and right in the middle of it all! Such a daddy's girl!

Little stomach sleeper just like her momma!

She used to snuggle with me every morning while we watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...So of course, I soaked in the rarity of her wanting to snuggle with me this particular morning and it was the best ever! 

That glasses shirt, those ruffle pants, and those little jelly shoes... Could barely handle her cuteness!! Off for a fun day of lunch and the library :)

  

She was a bit excited for Costa Vida and her quesadilla....

Today was one of those days that was just good for this struggling mama's soul. This sweet girl is by far my best friend, and just when I think I couldn't possibly love her more, I do. After lunch, we snuggled and read books in the tents, played kitchen, rowed and sang in the boat, and of course found some awesome books and movies to take home! I am so proud of how smart our little girl is and how eager she is to learn and imagine!

You would have thought she won the lottery... This girl and her PEZ collection! She scored some new ones at our trip to the antique mall and she was nothing short of ecstatic! It's the simple things when you are 2 ;)

When it reaches 60 outside, we celebrate that sunshine with a picnic! Hurry up Spring! Her sunglasses are ready!

Adalynn has been DYING to ride her trike for DAYYYYYS and she was soooo excited to finally get a nice day to do it! We had to pretty much pry her off of it to come in for naptime. She would ride until she saw a rock and then stop and put it in her trunk ha ha! Between that and watching Jordan help her learn to ride so patiently, my heart was FULL!

When you spot Pumba when not at your "regular" Walmart location, you take a break for a ride and a pic!

Feeling large hitting the 6 month mark! The swelling has arrived, acid reflux is raging, and the waddle walk is in full force! Not to mention that my belly button is about a sneeze away from popping out nbd..... I'm convinced that I am growing a gymnast/boxer that is quite the night owl..... Needless to say, this mama is wore out! I am hard at work on her super cute nursery and we can't wait to meet our new little girl!!!

My days of wearing cute strappy sandals have come to a hault! Lovely pregnancy swelling... Hello flip flops! #26weeks

Good thing Daddy hash such a big helper to build baby sister's diaper cart! She was all business and kept handing Jordan the instructions ha ha

Running errands is hard work! ZzzzzzZzzzz.......

Had to take a double take while washing some baby laundry... Is this real life?! Dying over these microscopic newborn socks! SO stinkin' cute! I can hardly stand it! Is it May yet?!

Fun girls shopping trip to Olympia while Jordan was in Seattle for a few days :) Adalynn never ceases to amaze me! Such a smarty pants and carries on a conversation non-stop about everything under the sun. She pretty much blew me away today with all her observations, questions, and statements. I am so lucky to be her mom!

My heart was bursting at the seams watching Adalynn dance! She got to move up to the "big girl" dance class and has been so excited for her first day! She is soooo good and was all smiles ;) We are so proud of her. Here is a million pics of her first day. I just love seeing the look on her face in the mirror reflection!

She LOVES her teacher Miss Darcy! She is the absolute best!

Oh how these work trips when Jordan is gone are so hard on this sweet girl. She was adamantly watching out the window for daddy to come home....the next day......

Had a little scare that got us admitted at the hospital for a few hours. Thankfully all is well though. I had some severe cramping and some fluid leakage that was concerning! Baby girl still has some serious time left to cook. She entertained the nurse doing flips in my belly, kicking the monitor constantly, and even getting her first bout of hiccups :) 

I'm still laughing......

How did I get so lucky? This girl is my everything! A good Sunday it was!

Adalynn went into the kids place at IKEA for the first time today and it was total bliss! I got to shop in peace with an ICEE and she had a blast. Winning!! This will totally be a regular thing now!

That wraps up a short and sweet February! We are holding out for warmer weather so we can get outside! Until then, we always find some fun to be had :)
