Well with all our recent happenings, honestly September and October have blurred together bad! Just realized that other than Adalynn's monthly post and Bear Lake, I haven't blogged since the beginning of September! Yikes! So much going on though that things have been a bit crazy to say the least :) Let's start back in September and I will try to catch up!
Just a few random moments to start off with... I love capturing little things everyday that tell the story of our life as a family of 3 :)
One of my favorite things is holding this little sweet girl as she sleeps. That will NEVER get old!!
Working one day a week at the dental office isn't so bad when I can come home to this :) Hugs, kisses, and snuggles from my favorite little Adalynn! First time she ever "kissed" my face!
We love eating at Tomato Brothers in Clarkston (5 min over the river). They have the best little highchairs for little ones! She LOVED being able to sit in the high chair and see everything like a big girl! Too big too fast! uggghh never grow up!
Another sleeping picture.... I know I know there are tons and tons of them, but they are my favorite. I could sit and stare at her little sleeping face all night long. That is my favorite time of night when I can rock her to sleep and just sit and soak in her sweet spirit <3
As in the previous post, we are moving to the Meridian area! We are waiting to move and close on our house in Kuna and in the meantime, we are soaking up the things we love about where we are. I have to admit, Lewiston is far from my liking of where I would rather live, but the sunsets in our backyard sure are to die for! We enjoyed this beautiful sunset, the hubs BBQing at the grill, and Adalynn squealing in the doorway. {PERFECT} night :)
This little stinker was quite the ham one morning. I love to send cute shots like this to Jordan during the day to make him smile :) He must have had the picture on the right as his wall paper for over a month!
Adalynn loves her baths. Like {LOVES} her baths. But lately she has been quite the ham in the shower. Between her blowouts and spit ups, a few nights have resulted in a quick shower with dad before bed time. She giggles and squeals and even tries to drink the water that is spraying down. She starts licking really fast, waiting to get some water in her mouth. I have a feeling she will be quite the little fish! She has always loved water :)
With about a month left till we moving day, we had a little fun with our friends, the Hemmerts, at the fair in Lewiston for the last time! Adalynn loves being in the stroller and had a ball. Love those bright blue eyes and super cute girl!
So much fun :)
Can't pass up a couple selfie in the indoor booths. Love this boy! We are pretty cute <3
Aaaaand another sleeping night time pic.. I know I know I have a problem! ha ha
This one meant alot to me though. I was so overwhelmed that night between packing and getting stuff ready to move, yet when I sat down to rock Baby A to sleep, it was so peaceful and just calmed my heart. I am so grateful to be able to rock her to sleep every night and maybe I take so many of these kinds of pictures for the simple reason that I NEVER want to forget what that feels like, to rock my little one to sleep EVERY night!
Busy packing boxes one night and Adalynn was so happy just jumping her exersaucer and smiling and giggling :)
So I got a little creative one night... Our chunky monkey has just about outgrown her little bath tub, but isn't quite big enough to sit up on her own yet. So, introducing the laundry basket bathtub! She could sit up and still kick without her little bum sliding off the seat ledge in her other tub. Pinterest win!!
Teething has been such a struggle with this little one since she was about 3 months old. It has affected everything from eating to sleeping to everyday happiness. This however was a different story. She has been pretty good about sleeping through the night, but this particular night, she woke up at 3 am and was the happiest giggliest little girl I have ever seen. Normally I would be less than thrilled, but I had to embrace the moment with this cute girl. Most fun I have had at 3 am in a long time! So in case you were wondering what 3am looked like, here ya go!
Well the end of September came, and it was time to close on our new house. Yayyyyyy!! We couldn't wait to move and start the next chapter of our lives in the Boise/Meridian Area! We signed our life away with all the paperwork, whew! And it was now all ours! Kuna here we come! We wouldn't be moving for a couple of weeks due to Jordan's job, but we were chomping at the bit to get our of Lewiston!
Headed out for shopping with mom :) Geez can she get any cuter? I think NOT!
Our sweet little stinker turned 5 months old on September 30th! Whaaaaattt?! Since when did she get so big! Time needs to slow down. Feels like I just had her yesterday!
Her 5 month pics were a hit! It had been rainy for several days after she turned 5 months, but on the first nice and sunny day, I ventured out to get a few snapshots. She did sooo good! The rest are in the previous post :)
I am a sucker for a good sunset and in this case an AMAZING sunset! Was headed home from Walmart and looked up to find this! You don't see gorgeous sun rays like that everyday!
And by the time I had got home, it had turned into this :) Just as pretty! It's the little things!
Every Tuesday night, Jordan plays basketball up at our ward building with a bunch of guys. We always go to watch and cheer him on. Adalynn loves to watch him go back and forth down the court. She loves her daddy!
Had to take a pic of this moment. Our chunky monkey has some serious thunder thighs! They are so serious that I had to take all night to digest that I had to go out and buy her 12 month pajamas to fit her legs. Whaaat?! 5 months old and wearing 12 month jammies. Thats crazy.... I stood in front of all the pajamas and took a minute to let it sink in before I bought them.
I have to admit that I can't remember the last time I cried when leaving a job! The dental office I managed had a going away get together at a Mexican Restaurant before we moved! It was great to see everyone one last time. So many memories there. Our tight knit group was more like family instead of coworkers! So happy to call them friends. Of the few things I will miss about Lewiston, the dental office is a HUGE one!
Taking a break from packing boxes one night so Jordan and I could snuggle Adalynn. We sure can't imagine life without her!
Jordan has been working a lot and so hard to get things in order with his job before the big move. He hasn't been home much because of that so little moments like this make my heart melt! Adalynn loves her daddy and loves to sit and play on his lap. They played back and forth for quite some time! Can't beat daddy daughter time <3
Adalynn started on baby food when she was 4 months old and has never looked back! She LOVES baby food, particularly fruits and cereal. She had a rough time liking vegetables and now thankfully loves them too. She was having a hard time eating green beans and then wha laa! She ate the whole thing one night. I was so happy! So happy in fact that I had to take all 4 pictures of our princess to celebrate her breakthrough of veggies. Ha ha corny I know. But she is just so dang cute! Of course, she has to wear most of it to make it a success :)
Well the big day to load the truck had arrived! Days leading up to that were so stressful, but we made it alive! My dad was flying up to help us move and drive the truck down to Kuna. The morning of the day to load, I told Adalynn that we were going to pick up Grandpa from the airport that night. This was the face I got..... PRICELESS!!
Daddy was working hard with the guys to start loading the truck, so Adalynn and I headed to the airport to pick up Grandpa. We looked through the glass to see his plane land and waved to him on the way inside. She hadn't seen grandpa in a while, but immediately was so excited to see him! Grateful for help from family during the big move!
After a loooooooong and late night, we finally got loaded and left the next morning. We were packed sooooooo tight. Literally one more anything wouldn't have fit. While the guys were loading the night before, I was panicking that everything wasn't going to fit! They kept taking things out and rearranging and putting them back in. Thankfully, it was packed so tight, that we had nothing break on the 5 hour drive down! We had so many friends help us get on our way the night before and we couldn't have done it without them! Everything from loading to cleaning to watching Adalynn. I drove the Maxima, Jordan drove his car, and my dad drove the big moving truck. Long 5 hour drive including stops with Baby A, but we made it safe and sound! We stopped in New Meadows to eat on the drive down and I grabbed a quick shot of the travelers :) Not too bad after being in the car for a while and being hungry :)
My family and Jordan's mom and sister came up from Twin to help us get settled into the new house! Also my uncle and aunt that live in Boise also came to help us! So thankful for family :) Due to the layout of our new house and the dark wood floors, we had a good excuse to upgrade some things! Our sectional was the wrong direction for our living room and our dining table didn't match the dark hardwood floors.... so wha laa! We have brand new beautiful furniture. Yessss!!!
Big table can only mean that we plan on having lots of visitors! With being so close to family and friends now, we can't wait to see everyone more often ;)
After getting mostly settled in, Jordan had to head back to Lewiston for a few weeks to finish up in his old territory before he could start this one. He stayed with some friend of ours, the Scotts. :) Again, grateful for such good friends!
While he was up there for a few weeks, I headed to Twin Falls to stay with my family and do some pictures! SO many sessions booked and so much fun :) It was quite the 10 days down there!
Here is one of my favorite captures from all the Twin Falls sessions I did! There was about 8 total, about 1 every day. I stayed super busy!
I have to be honest, I wasn't quite sure how this session was going to go. As her mom described that she would be sporting a "punk/band" type style with a mohawk, I was a bit nervous. BUT this gorgeous girl rocked it and was flawless! One of my favorite senior sessions. Definitely one for the books!
The other sessions were great too! I would love to post them all, but we would be here for a while. It was so fun doing such a wide variety of session types and seeing some friendly faces that I haven't seen in a while!
Went to go see Gandpa at work in Jerome so of course, she had to be all cutesied up!
A few days into being in Twin, she got a little sick and was wheezing.... A 2am trip to Walmart was NOT what I had in mind! She still is so pretty even when she isn't feeling good and not able to sleep from teething! Poor little sick monkey.....
Justin and I ran into the store late one night and this is how she decided to ride through the whole store like.... She LOVES her feet! We laughed and laughed as she squealed up and down every aisle while grabbing her feet :) Such a funny girl!
Scooter is always quite jealous when Adalynn comes to visit because he isn't the "baby" anymore. After a few days of being there he went from being jealous to being the guard dog. I couldn't even fold laundry without him being on duty. Ha ha love my Scooter boy!
Grandma has Wednesdays off, so we had a girls day in between sessions and all the other fun things going on! We went out to lunch at Jakers and went shopping at the mall. Apparently it was just too much fun for Adalynn! She was all tuckered out!
Between all the family in Twin, Adalynn stayed with them while I had photography sessions. Came home to snuggle her in between sessions and had to steal a pic. Can't get enough of her and her snuggles!
You would never know that she wasn't sleeping in her own bed. She snuggled right into her pack and play while we were in Twin Falls!
Adalynn pic overload I know, but I just can't resist this pretty girl and those baby blue eyes!
Adalynn loves most baby good, but peas has never been a hit. Gave it another try at Grandma's house and this is the face that I got... "Really mom?! Nice try!"
The last weekend in Twin Falls, we headed up to Idaho Falls for a wedding and we tagged along so that Adalynn could meet her other great grandma! We stopped at Carl's Jr. on the ride there to get some dinner. Grandpa thought he could handle feeding her carrots.... until she started spitting them all over his shirt, arms, and white shoes! ha ha
Great Grandma Morrow and Adalynn
It has been a task keeping socks on little missy since it is now getting colder. She kicks and pulls them off within seconds of putting them on..... Soooo this happened. New shoes for Baby A! No more kicking socks off :) Can't resist some pink baby converse shoes!
She is stylin' with her new shoes. Thanks daddy!
Waiting for grandma and great grandmas to finish shopping Christopher and Banks. She was all worn out from shoe shopping!
We all all fancied up Saturday night to go to the wedding reception of Logan and his new bride!
Even Adalynn was lookin fancy :) Me n my baby girl <3
Came home and took a dunk in Great Grandma Morrow's sink! She thought that was pretty cool. We were soaked by the time we were done from all her splashing!
Because napping with just one blankie is overrated :)
On Sunday night, we said bye to all our family in Twin Falls and headed back home to our new house to anxiously await for daddy's arrival at the end of the week! It was nice to have a few days to get even more settled in before Jordan came from Lewiston to stay here permanently.
Looking cute to go get the mail from our new neighbor and do some shopping in town!
Adalynn wasted no time in breaking in the new house with her famous blowouts. I normally wouldn't post stuff like this, but SERIOUSLY?! How convenient to pull a stunt like this while the DISH, Cableone, and lawn guy are all here :) Perfect! little stinker...... How is this even possible! Shoot it up your back and down your leg with little in your actual diaper! Gross!!!
Just 2 more sleeps till daddy comes home after being gone for over 2 weeks! We can't wait!
Ventured out to Target and got Adalynn some new mesh feeders for fresh food. She went to town on a banana with it. LOVED it! Score for mom :)
After eating chicken noodle baby food and whole banana, this is the aftermath :) One messy happy little baby girl!
Just a random snap for dad who couldn't wait to be home!
Again, she loves her feet :)
On the 30th of October, Jordan finally came home for good! Both me and Adalynn were so happy to see him :) He showed up with a beautiful necklace and the new TSwift CD. Yeah he is pretty amazing! I think I'll keep him! We had a few hours to hang out and then he had his first basketball game in Meridian that night! Of course we went to cheer him on! He tore up the scoreboard with several baskets and fast breaks :) So proud of him!
Adalynn had fun watching him from the bleachers!
That same day also marked Adalynn's 6 month mark! Hard to believe that time has flown that fast! Blog post with stats soon to follow!
Halloween was fun at our new house. We had a cute little ladybug at our house and she helped us pass out candy. Hard to get a decent picture of her, but this is the best we got!
"Why are you giving away all our candy mom and dad??!!"
Had the sweetest message the next day from a client I had in Lewiston! Love making new friends through photography :)
Our new place has some pretty awesome sunsets too! Looks like I won't be missing those :)
For now we are getting everything situated here in Kuna. We are SO looking forward to being close to home for the holidays!
Jordan starts his new territory in Meridian tomorrow and he is so excited, but also nervous! We are overwhelmingly grateful for this opportunity to be in a new place that has a better opportunity for growth, own a home, and still be close to family :) SO many blessings for our little family!
Love,
Jordan & Elise
