Our Christmas Card {2016}

Merry Merry Christmas, how is it December?
2016 has been a whirlwind, but definitely a year to remember.
Jordan kicked off January with a bang; All his hard work paid off;
He was awarded Territory Manager of the Year with Ecolab, & many other changes were about to take off.
Just when we were really settled into Boise, God had other plans;
Jordan took a sales promotion in the Portland Area, and we took a leap of faith knowing we would be in good hands.
It wasn’t easy getting here & being far away from family is hard,
But Jordan is thriving & home so much more, this promotion for us has really been the ace card.
We enjoyed a gorgeous Summer and fell in love with the Oregon Coast;
Exploring all the Pacific Northwest has to offer has been what we have loved the most.
June brought a much anticipated trip with family, Lake Powell was a total blast;
19 people on a houseboat, the week flew by way too fast.
A few thousand pictures taken and so many wild stories to retell;
Gorgeous sunsets, Rainbow Bridge, & all the boat runs we remember so well.
Adalynn turned 2 in April and is going on 21;
So much personality and smarts, all she does is run.
Disney is her language, she knows all the characters by name;
She loves to shop, cook, swim, & anything girly is fair game.
We traveled all Summer and it still just wasn’t enough;
We jumped on a plane to California because accepting the coming cold weather was tough.
We spoiled our princess with her first trip to Disneyland, the magic in her eyes was unreal;
Characters, Parades, & Rides; It was quite the ordeal.
If that wasn’t enough fun, we came home to the best answered prayer;
We are expecting a rainbow baby girl in May, we are excited beyond com pare.
Adalynn talks non-stop about being a big sister, she is always checking the baby’s “heartbeep”;
We can’t wait to be a family of FOUR, these are the things that make life incredibly sweet.
Slow down the hustle and bustle, hug your loved ones tight;
Soak in the Christmas spirit and spread the Savior’s light.
Home is being with your family, and from our home to yours,
Merry Christmas to all our loved ones and may the new year be better than ever
before.

Love,
Jordan, Elise, & Adalynn

Sickness, Snapshots, & Family {November 2016}

November was a blur at our house! Sickness and snapshots pretty much sum up the month with a trip and family coming to visit too :) We are busily getting ready for Chistmas, but let's recap November first!

Just had to snap a pic of her gorgeous Shirley Temple Curls! Pure perfection!

When dad goes out of town for work, us girls always have a little fun! Cue the ordering pizza, funny faces, and staying up late <3

I just love Adalynn's imagination! She is so good to play quietly with her toys or in her room while I get ready for the day. I couldn't find her one morning and peeked in her tent to find her reading!

Love me a good sunset!

Friday was good to me! Nothing beats getting to sleep in while the hubs built towers with our princess <3 <3

Jordan and I were crazy sick for a few weeks coughing our lungs out, and at this point we were still very far from being 100% better! It was miserable to say the least which explains the lack of pictures for the first few weeks of the month! Adalynn was nothing but understanding and sweet, always trying to "kiss it all better." We actually got out for a few hours to shop and she was so excited. That cute face totally melts me!!

Taking a ride on the horse after lunch!

I love bed time checks! And that curly fro of hers too ;)

Jordan's Ecolab Christmas party came a little early, but was so much fun! His boss got a suite for the Portland Hockey game and everyone came to watch and eat with their families!

yeah she loved the seats that constantly folded ha ha!!

We snagged the mascot walking down the hall! Adalynn thought he was pretty cool :)

And of course, we had to sneak in a few selfies too cuz you know, we cute <3

Hide and Seek is her thing! And so is hiding in her toy box... Such a silly girl!

At this point in my pregnancy, things were getting rough! My blood pressure skyrocketed like it did with Adalynn, only this time, when I was only 10 weeks instead of the last month! I was having other problems as well like a blood clot behind the placenta, heart palpitations, and crazy high heart rate. Those all called for tons of labs and tests. I did also have to go in for blood pressure checks during the week. As you can tell, Adalynn didn't mind.... stickers are the best! She was a champ during my first trimester between all my complications, tests, and hovering over the toilet puking. Good times.... Never a dull moment!

Living far away from family has been really hard! I was ready for a break and some much needed girl time. I made plans to drive to Twin Falls and surprise my mom by crashing her scrapbook retreat weekend. Jordan was awesome to arrange work to be with Adalynn so I could take a much needed break. A week before I was supposed to  head out, he had some changes to his work schedule that required him to be out of town. I was suuuuper disappointed and didn't know if I would still be able to go. Thank goodness we have such a amazing friends that took Adalynn with no questions asked for the day & overnight that he had to be out of town. I couldn't have done it without them or Jordan! I headed off to start day 1 of my drive. The fall trees were pretty on the way.

Passed the Port of Morrow on the way! How ironic that it was in Morrow County! ha ha!

My sweet friend Erin sent me this picture to calm my nerves while I was driving. I had never been away from Adalynn for FIVE days before and it was hard! She played hard and crashed hard right after dinner. She kept her that day until Heather picked her up at night.

I spent the night in Kuna with our friends the Taylor Family. They were like our 2nd family/Mom when we lived in Kuna and boy do we miss them! It was so fun to catch up and see them. Adalynn had a rough night getting to sleep after Heather picked her up. Talk about breaking a mama's heart! She made it through though and was thrilled to get to play with her besties Ruby and Dia the next day when she woke up!

Day 2 leaving Kuna to drive to Twin to surprise my Mom!

I made it to the retreat and it was such a fun surprise. My mom screamed and hugged me like crazy. I was so happy to finally be there! Talk about exhausting... I didn't waste any time in getting to work though! I went with pages prepped and prepared to make a dent in Adalynn's baby book.

All refreshed for Day 2! It warranted a selfie ;)

Girl's weekend in full swing! Chili's never tasted soooo good!!

And of course, we had to get our SIPS fix to keep the creativity flowing :)

Meanwhile while I was scrapping and Jordan was in Seattle at work, my sweet friend Heather was sending me pictures of Miss Adalynn. She was having nothing short of a ball with her best friends and boy did these calm my mommy nerves! I can't stress enough how awesome our friends are here in Vancouver!!

Girls weekend was super fun and Jordan kept me in the loop by sending me so many cute pictures of all the fun things they were doing together! They are the best of friends! I couldn't have asked for a better hubby to be such a good dad to our princess!
Fun day at the park :)

Costco, Dizzy Castle, & swimming! Jordan and Adalynn lived it up while I was away! Oh that cheeky smile is my favorite!

Made the long 8 hour drive back and was SO happy to see this booger!

Pretty much what conversation at our house looked like regularly lol

Dance class is always better with your best friend Ruby! They are the cutest and watching them during class is so fun!

Can't. get. enough. kisses & snuggles!!! The rare time when she actually wanted to snuggled after nap :)

Cute little baking helper and chocolate chip thief!

Have I mentioned how much I love playing dress up with her everyday?!! Thankful everyday that she came to our family!!

Daddy tells Jungle Book the best!! Bedtime stories are her favorite!

Adalynn got to go to her first surprise party for her friend Dia. She thought the capes and masks were pretty cool that went with her Supergirl theme!

I just love her cute little smarts!

Helloooo 2nd trimester!!!

THIS!!

Just a naked bum bum taking Buzz for a stroll! This girl keeps a smile on my face and a laugh in my heart <3

After miscarrying, my anxiety has been through the roof with this pregnancy, so this was a BIG moment!

Grandma & Papa & the whole crew made it to our house for Thanksgiving. Of course, Grandma comes with treats! She was just a little bit excited :)

The 3 blockateers! Uncles are the best!

Reintroducing Papa to Aladdin, one of her favorites!

Love having family here to visit! Cooked all day in the kitchen with my mom for Thanksgiving.

Get togethers aren't complete with a bunch of snacks right?!

Black Friday ads

Let's eat! So much to be thankful for :) Especially FAMILY!

Swimmin' with the fam! With all the rain outside in the winter, this is a favorite place to go.

My dad put in a bunch of lights at our house while they were here and he had the cutest assistant that kept volunteering to help! She kept walking up to him while he was cutting boxes saying, "Papa, you need some help?!" Cutest thing ever!

Took everyone to the castle to play and they had a giant bear to win! She just wanted a picture with it :)

Ready, set, GOOOO!!!

Adalynn sure loves bedtime stories with Grandma!

Goodbyes are hard, but we would be in Twin in a few weeks for Christmas! On to getting the decorations out! My favorite holiday!

Such a fun day! Love waking up in the cold mornings with only the Christmas tree on while snuggling Adalynn on the couch. We had a fun girl date going to lunch and did some Christmas shopping. That cheeser face melts me!! And Jordan got home in time to get in some snuggles when Adalynn woke up from her nap!

Its all fun and games.... until they gag themselves with their fingers and throw up their entire Costa Vida dinner right as we pulled up to Walmart. She thought it was funny until my pregnancy nose got a good whiff of it and I in turn, threw up most of my own dinner.... Sooo yep, I was THAT parent at Walmart with a child that reaked from 5 feet away! You win some, you lose some I guess.....

Hopin' that her cute smile will convince Daddy to let her tag along on his work trip!

Why do they have to grow up??! Ugh I just to snuggle her every night so she won't get any bigger....

On that note, we are plunging into December and are so excited to see family for Christmas!!
