After Powell, we went back to Phoenix with my Uncle and Aunt to have some more fun for a few days! After growing up in Phoenix, it was fun to take Jordan there and show him around :)
After being so tuckered out from playing at Powell, Adalynn was in heaven to be at "yammi's" (sami's) house for the second part of our trip! Time for some more fun in Phoenix!
This was an absolute must while we were there! Ugh I miss this.....
Too funny! It took a bit for Adalynn to warm up to Dallin, but once she did, they were buds and she didn't want to leave! She loved to steal his hat and sunglasses! She did this all by herself and even posed for a pic... We were cracking up!!
Well the heat was crazy while we were there as usual! It stayed around 113-115! Wowzers! I didn't forget how hot it was there, but it was sure a rude awakening for Jordan... His line was," I'm pretty sure this is what Hell feels like...Who would want to live here??!" Ha Ha!!! Guilty...
Pretty views of the hot sunshine!
So my Uncle took us to a super fun movie place to see Central Intelligence! Adalynn went and played at my Aunt Cenia's house so we could have a little date night <3 It was so cool! We got special seats, ate yummy dinner with little buzzers and waiters, and watched the movie :)
My Aunt was our hero for hanging out with Adalynn while we got a break for the movie. She sent me this picture while we were out. I cracked up! Fireman with not one, but TWO binkis! Silly girl!
So everyone in Phoenix has a pool in their backyard and Aunt Sherri & Uncle Trent were no exception :) Adalynn was so excited to get to swim! And on top of that, Jordan blew up some water balloons for her to play with while we swam. Score!
Ok so my Uncle Trent is the Suite Manager for the Phoenix Suns. I grew up going to Suns games and all kinds of events at the arena! So when we come, he always spoils us with something fun going on there! He got us tickets to take Adalynn to the circus and she was mesmerized with all the animals and tricks :)
We had to take time to drive by my old house in Phoenix! Hard to believe that it has been 15 years since we left this gem where I grew up All those memories come flooding back! Swimming in our pool, riding scooters outside on Christmas day, melting in the triple digit heat, Phoenix Suns games with Uncle Trent, finally getting to bring home my baby brother, feeding the ducks, riding with Eric to the big grassy park, and so much more So weird how you remember memories so well, but the timing seems so distant....Crazy to drive by with the hubs and a family of my own for the first time!
There is a pretty awesome mall that is just down from where I grew up as well as my aunt and uncle's house, Arrowhead Mall! We checked it out with Dallin and had some fun too. Adalynn was freaking out over the train you could ride around the mall, so of course, we had to take a ride. Can you say spoiled?! We love our Adalynn girl <3
Mall playground's are the best!
We got some cinnamon sugar pretzel bites before we left and she had it all figured out! No need to eat the actual pretzel when you can just lick off all the cinnamon sugar and hand it back to mom for a new one! ha ha!!
Our 4 days in Phoenix seemed to fly! On our last day, we headed out to see my cousin Abe that lives in Phoenix as well! He has a little boy, Oliver, that is Adalynn's same age. They had fun playing and we had fun catching up with Abe and his wife Kristy :) Family is the best!
Between Powell and Phoenix, we had so much fun for 10 days straight, but we were excited to be home in our own beds! Our flight home was uneventful and peaceful :) Adalynn slept and the views were amazing!
Still trying to take in that our big Summer vacation has already come and went. Summer has been really good to us so far and it is just getting started!
