August was a pretty awesome breath of fresh air :) We got back in the groove after so many trips and such and just enjoyed life and time together! Of course, that doesn't mean a lack of pictures ;) Here is a peek into the month of August!

Friends are the BEST! We met some friends in our new ward, and they have 2 little girls, one of which is Adalynn's same age, Ruby. They have become cute little buddies! We had a little playdate at Esther Short Park and they were pretty inseparable :)

Jordan took off to Seattle for the day to see a Mariner's Game with his boss... SO naturally, us girls took a fun little day trip! Up to Olympia to Hobby Lobby and the outlets! Adalynn is such a good little traveler and always up to be mommy's buddy <3
We got some fun goodies while shopping, but this one kind of took of the cake... I went into the Nike Store to try and find Jordan some shoes... Size 14 is near impossible unless you special order it :( Well no such luck, but I DID come out with these beauties... new shox for me! Not sure how that all worked, but hey, aren't they sweet??!

I was DYING laughing!!! Basically Adalynn is going to the moon, I'm coming, and don't forget her drink of lemonade too. HA HA!!!!!!

Jordan has really had a blast with his new position here in Vancouver. While he has had his struggles getting used to a new role, he has really thrived with is new boss and has hit the ground running! As part of the incentive for meeting quarterly district goals, his district did a rafting/camping trip for a few days. He had a lot of fun! While he was gone, he sent me this picture of everyone :)
While Jordan was rafting, we partied with some friends at a fun cove at Vancouver Lake!
It is a bit of a hike to the cover, so I jammed Adalynn in the crammed wagon and away we went. I snapped a pic before we left and she just gave me the look of, "Really mom?!" ha ha!!

The kiddos had such a fun time together! Sand castle building, snacks, friends, the beach, and some good ole sunshine! I even had a gnarly sunburn after this fun day!

When we moved to Vancouver, we splurged and got a new bedroom set! I am totally obsessed and our room is FINALLY put together! I even had this custom barnwood sign made and I'm in LOVE! Kinda feels like we are sleeping in a really cute hotel now... I mean come on.... seriously... we even have matching lamps! That is seriously stepping up our "adulting" game :)
This girl is always talking a mile a minute... and I swear it happened overnight! She is SO smart and has such a crazy big vocabulary for only being 2!!

Your know you're a mom when you have been stalking the new Chick-fil-a that is opening soon... The toys are in, the sign is going up, and I can already taste the Chicken Tortilla soup and frozen lemonade! I can't wait to have Chick-fil-a again! Vancouver has been missing out....
Stressful day, long to do list, running low on sleep & short on patience... Came downstairs to the best pick me up when the hubs came home from work. He is such a keeper!!

Jordan has some friends in California that are like family, and they came to visit us for a few days! His Uncle Jack, Aunt Barbara, their daughter Sherre, and then her 2 daughters Lexi and McKayla :)

As if all day at the lake wasn't enough, we went for day 2 playing in the water, only this time we went to Wintler Park on the Columbia River :)

As usual, we took a picnic to a nearby park after church. Adalynn was super generous with kisses for daddy <3 She has the biggest heart!!
Sunday usually means skyping with my family! Adalynn loves to talk non-stop to Grandma and Papa! She was even more excited that they are coming to visit soon!
The fun didn't stop on Sunday... We got the bikes out after dinner for the first time this Summer and went on a fun bike ride to the park!
I am in trouble with this girl... She is ALL about the beauty products! Caught red handed and again a few moments late with my body spray!

Now that Jordan is a new position, he normally doesn't have to do installs or any late nights. This night however, was an exception. He was helping out his boss with a late night/early morning install, so me and this chicka were on our own for dinner. Noodles it was! Isn't she a cute dinner date??! A fun little "mommy and me" night :)
Jordan ended up working all day and then the install ended up being ALL NIGHT too... He got home just as Adalynn was getting dressed that morning. All he wanted to do was sleep and all she wanted to do was read her zoo book with him... Guess who won that battle?!
They just build a brand new Marshall's right by our house, so we went to the grand opening and it was a lot of fun! My friend Heather came with us along with Ruby and Dia. All the girls got their face painted and we even won $25 gift cards! Totally worth waking up early. We had a lot of fun!

Seriously, I can't even script this stuff... She is hilarious and smart as a whip!

The weather was crazy hot, so we took a weekend daytrip to the coast! We were on the drive there, and Jordan turned on music from Tarzan, also her favorite right now! Her face was totally priceless! All smiles for this girl!!
Took a break from playing at the beach to walk the promenade in Seaside. Of course, we had to do the carousel, her favorite!
Who would have though that the T-shirt shop would have a ride on shark??! Adalynn was determined to sit on it before we left. Too funny!

Yep... Just when we thought our Summer was coming to a close... THIS is going down next month! Disneyland 2016! Can you tell how excited she was when we told her?!

Fun Friday night doing some apple pickin'! Lucky us that our neighbor has fruit trees!
We try to get in as much fun as we can on the weekend while Jordan is work free :) So we took off to Salem for the Oregon State Fair! We figured it would be a fun way to get Adalynn warmed up to rides for Disneyland in a few weeks!

She was so wound up, she ran over to me with her Big Bird and said, "Take a picture mommy please, Cheeeeeese!!!" I looked horrid from doing housework, but I couldn't pass it up!
This was a BIG day...Our little sassy princess decided she was ready to start pooping on the potty!! This is HUGE!! She has been in underwear for quite a while with the peeing down, but was pretty adamant about not wanting to poop on the potty and mom and dad were more than frustrated....I told her that if she pooped on the potty, I would take her swimming. Totally expected the same resistance and refusal, but instead, she blew me away and dropped it like its hot!! So naturally, I sang the hallelujah chorus all day and milked it like crazy... The pool ended up being closed and she was one sad girl, but daddy saved the day after work and took her to play! Parenting is HARD and stage transitions are HARD, but boy I wouldn't trade the struggles for a minute because they make the triumphs so dang sweet 💕 Totally love this pic of the two of them💕 They are my whole world!!
A little girl gave her her birthday hat to play with and Adalynn thought it was the coolest thing! She went on playing as if everything was normal ;)

She did SO awesome! Cleaning, Fluoride, exam, the works! Not a tear! SO proud of my little squirt! MUCH different than her last visit! All the staff wanted to take her home and couldn't get enough of her politeness and cuteness <3
And just like that, we roll into September. Looking forward to cooler weather for Fall and Disneyland next month!!
