June was such an anticipated month for our family for SUCH a LONG time! Vacation month!! I still can't believe that it has came and went already :( We had all kinds of adventures in our new city and ended the month in Lake Powell and Phoenix, AZ! SO. MUCH. FUN! I don't even think I have near enough frames to handle all our memories in pictures from June!.....Let alone the rest of the Summer still to go ha ha!
Let the recapping begin :)
Adalynn and I did a little exploring in downtown Portland swimsuit shopping! She was thrilled with this Elevator that was all mirrors!
One of their favorite things to do together... build blocks! She will come running up to me afterwards and say," Yooook mom!! I built a towerrrrrr!!"
Caution, {WILD} sleeper!! Our little "no covers" girl :)
We had a totally scorching week of heat! All in the upper 90s and even up to 100! We were totally melting....
It is tough being 2 sometimes.... The terrible 2's are in full swing at our house, and this mama is worn out! SO much sass, attitude, tantrums, meltdowns and " NO I DO IT!!"
Pretty girl wearing her princess dress from Grandma and Grandpa! I couldn't help but snap a few pics. How did she get so big and so beautiful?! I am thankful everyday for this sweet girl that is my best friend!
Target popcorn makes Mondays more bearable. Get it girl!
That tongue! She is my world! #nevergrowup
A little family walk at a creek by our house. Adalynn was in Heaven! She is all about being outside exploring :)
Pretty skies and the best company! Took my breath away on our walk! My heart is full <3 #thisisVancouver
Went to get this girly up from her nap.... Only to find that some time during her nap, she climbed out and grabbed a good 10 blankies from her closet to sleep with, because 2 just wasn't enough! ha ha Ohhh we love our little blankie addict
Now that we only live about 10 min away from Portland, there are so many cool activities going on ALL. THE. TIME. One of those being basketball for Jordan! They have a pickup game league always going with refs and Jordan was so stoked! He went to try it out one night and us girls went to cheer him on! Of course, Adalynn's first stop was to check out the bleachers :)
Daddy's favorite cheerleaders!
She was super into the game and always knew where daddy was on the court!
And the best cheering award goes to....
Adalynn was such a trooper shopping with me for the better part of June ha ha
Between needing to get stuff for our new house AND so many clothes/swim stuff we had to get for our Powell trip, we were ALWAYS shopping it felt like! This time, she just couldn't handle it and crashed in the stroller!
I was totally cracking up when I took her 2 pigtails ties out... With her curly hair, they just stay put after you take them out! ha ha cute little horns :)
Whatever is comfortable I guess.... Sleeping is quite the adventure for her :)
OH that smile makes my day! How can you pass up a ride in a plane with Pooh?!
Aaaand this would be her "German Pancake" face! Can you tell they are her favorite?! Such a treat at our house!
Since we have moved to Vancouver, we have LOVED going to the farmers market on Saturdays! Yummy food, unique snacks, fresh produce, GORGEOUS flower bouquets, and of course, a killer awesome park! It just happened to be a little bright out for this princess :) lol
After church on Sundays, we LOVE that we get to just spend time as a family for the whole rest of the day! Nothing beats church and family <3 This particular Sunday, we packed a picnic after church and headed to a park down the street. It was so much fun! There were cows night next to us and Adalynn was fascinated with them! She wanted to go see the cows with Jordan, but of course, didn't want to get dirty ha ha ha! I was cracking up watching her try to not step in the mud :)
Hey look! I was there too! ;)
Her favorite, the swings! Pretty amazing how you can love your little ones so unconditionally! I have never loved hearing the words, "Mom" so much followed by a kiss and hug <3
And this is why a daughter needs a dad... I just love watching them together!
This girl and her pocket full of rocks! A usual little walk around our subdivision that takes 5x as long, but boy is it an exciting adventure for this 2 year old!
Perfect in Poppies! She LOVES to sing the song "If you're happy and you know it" :) So here you go... clap your hands, stomp your feet, pat your cheeks, and your face will surely show it :)
I was still laughing at this moment days later... All the other kids were climbing through tunnels and slides and just playing together... Not Adalynn! She has to climb to the top of the tallest mound and then yell, "Waaaaaashingtonnnn!!? Yeah so many parents were laughing... Yep she's mine! #hilarious
Snuggling on the bed watching old Instagram videos with this goober <3 THIS is why I take so many pictures and post so much.... to remember our sweet sweet {memories}
All stretched out with her friends <3 Doesn't it just make you want to snuggle her?!
I am so grateful to be able to be home everyday with my princess!! Jordan has worked so hard between school and building his career so that we can do so many things that aren't at the expense of Me not being home with our littles. Every morning, Adalynn gets her "dink of juice" and her blankie and comes to climb on my lap to "snuggle wiff mommy" while watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I LOVE it! Starting the day off the BEST way!
Best seat in the house to watch Mickey Mouse ha ha!
This girl is a total tornado... Even at dinnertime! Note the sauce on her forehead and in her hair! Lord help me.....
The day before we flew out for Powell, us girls got spoiled at the salon! Cute fingers and toes means vacay ready!
Ok so this part is where I would insert our 3,000+ photos from our Lake Powell and Arizona trip.... It was just THAT amazing!! So needless to say, that will be separate post all by itself because it pretty much owned the end of June :)
Nothing said welcome back from vacation quite like getting to pick up Jordan's new car! He sure looks sporty in his new 2017 Escape.... Perks of working for EcoLab :)
I couldn't handle the cuteness for this outfit of the day.... I just wanted to eat her up!!
This husband of mine always keeps a smile on my face and a chuckle in my heart <3
{THIS} right here is why we made the move to Vancouver Did we want to be far from family, friends, and where we loved? Heck no! Were we excited about living here? No way. But we took the leap of faith and knew we would be blessed for being where we needed to be. It was rough getting here and even more rough figuring things out once we got here, but if I have learned anything from this whole experience, it is to trust Heavenly Father's plan, even when you aren't happy about. The heartache of moving was enormous and still stings some days, but that is small compared to the heartache we would be feeling if we were still in Boise right now. A lot of things changed drastically when we left which would have impacted our family tremendously. So today I am overwhelmingly grateful. Grateful for new opportunities from someone who knows the bigger picture. Grateful to be sitting in the middle of the park, having a mid afternoon picnic with our little family in the sunny & beautiful 75 degree weather. Sure it will take some time to figure out our new life, but in the meantime, we are thrilled to have our favorite guy home so much more. We are very blessed #moretime#morefamily #morememories #herestovancouver
That moment when you have an accident at the park and run bare buns across the grass! Ha ha!!
Wrapped up June with a little spontaneous outing with my favorite curly haired girl! I am obsessed with all the wildflower fields there is out here, and just had to play around with my camera a bit! The outing was a bit of a disaster, so this ended up being the only good shot I got, but hey, I will take it!!
June was very good to us!!! Love having fun with our little family! On to the ginormous next post, our Lake Powell vacation!!!!
