December Part ONE {Pre-Christmas}

We are finishing up 2015 with quite the magical December! This year our family was very fortunate to not be sick of any kind so we more than enjoyed all the festivities we could to celebrate the Christmas season!! Holidays are so much more fun with little ones! All the wonder and excitement with Adalynn was absolutely priceless <3 Starting at the beginning of December!

This is what happens when you are having the WORST day ever.... You sit in the middle of the kitchen floor and eat salsa with your one year old. Not my favorite moment!
.

Our little Ranch monster..... She loves to paint all over with it, but won't eat without it. A parent's DREAM! This explains why in most dinner pictures she isn't wearing clothes.... Oh boy missy!
 See???!

My little mini me! Christmas shopping buddies <3

Adalynn LOVED the tree!! Surprisingly we made it through the WHOLE month with ZERO broken ornaments or tree redecorations :) YAY!

Just a snippet from our daily life :)

Such a big helper and SO independent! Might have taken 3 times as long, but how can I resist that cute face?!

It was definitely freakin chilly in our neck of the woods in December! That didn't stop us from getting out and seeing the Meridian Winter Lights Parade! It was SO much fun and Adalynn was completely mesmerized! Cheeeeese!

Jordan made sure to keep Adalynn snuggled warm and apparently she wasn't a fan of my camera flash that I forgot was on..... ha ha

Watching a little Elmo while the parade got down to where we were sitting

Several of the floats!

The end! Our bums were frozen after over an hour, but boy was it worth it!

MUST stop and say bye to Mickey before getting in the bath... Nothing like flashing the neighbors! Those cute cheeks though.....

Was out late grocery shopping and came home to this WILD sleeper! Always a good laugh :)

Must be fashionable to go Christmas shopping! I'm dying over the cuteness!

All tuckered out from shopping and still so stinkin cute....

Our Sunday after church and nap tradition - cookie making with mom! With all her attitude and naughtiness all day, she was lucky I turned the beaters off first!! I had to laugh... I opened the oven before dinner and she said, "cookies?!". Such a confused look when she found out they were really potatoes for dinner! She doesn't forget our cookie Sundays!

Toys are more fun with sunglasses on :)

Running errands with my girl <3 That smirk gets me every time. So thankful she is ours!

The slide is definitely one of her favorite things in her playroom!

A fun highlight from this month.... Adalynn LOVES to dance and even LOVES dancing to Manheim Steamroller Christmas music. She was being pretty full of it and I videoed her dancing to do the song on a whim. It was hilarious! I joked with Jordan about sending it into Ellen and actually did end up sending it in. I didn't expect much, but within an hour, they responded back! It took a few days to make sure they had permission to use the licensing of the music and they eventually posted it on the Ellen website! Not going to lie, we were feeling pretty famous :) In only a few days, she had over 800 views!

She never disappoints on the nightly check before bed! All sprawled out, leg headed out of the rails, turtle in between her legs, binki hanging out of her mouth.... I'm scared to even think about putting her in a toddler bed!!

First visit to the dentist and it went about as well as Santa did this year..... Look at that sad face! Maybe next year it will be better....

Christmas baking for our neighbors! Jordan joked about how it was pretty early, but I knew if I didn't do it when I had time, it wouldn't get done! Besides, who can resist a yummy red velvet white chocolate chip cookie?!

Best seat in the house to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

She is a laugh a minute just like her daddy!

My baby grew eyes out of her mouth! Must be from all the Mr. Potato Head playing :)

Love some snuggles with this girl!

Tried out some home made Beef Lo Mein and it was AhhhhMAZING! YUM!

Looks like she has Mr. Turtle on the lookout! Wouldn't want Santa to show up early or anything...

OH man how I LOVE this goober! So cute and silly non stop!

Don't think she can get any cuter and the bow is always just icing on the cake!

Look Mom, No hands!!

Adalynn just recently became VERY hooked on the movie Frozen. She doesn't sit still... EVER. She was watching one night before bed and I was cracking up at her cute smile at the movie. It doesn't get any cuter than that!

This was SO incredibly fun! Adalynn was in heaven and in that short amount of time, I was sure overcome with gratitude for the Christmas season and my little family!

Her two favorite things and my two favorite people... Weekends that daddy is home and playing Mr. potato head!

Quite a sucky day.. Snuggles always make life better

Our cookie of choice for Adalynn and I's cookie Sunday Tradition... Copycat SWIG cookies! Holy YUMMMM!!!!

The frosting was Adalynn approved and beater lickin' good <3

This girl sure has her daddy's heart! Jordan went out to finish Christmas shopping and came home with Doc McStuffins bath squirters that he just couldn't resist... She was so thrilled and has to carry all FOUR around at once! #lovethatgrin#lovethatboy #lovesurprises

The best place to help Mom catch up on the Voice! She even claps and dances!

Had to bundle up and go outside for a 5min walk! Winter days inside are brutal for this munchkin...

Tis the season! He cracks me up!

Yep... Jordan is actually IN the Doc McStuffins tent with her! He is the BEST daddy!

Hate to break it to you love chop, but that isn't a hat!!

I live for simple moments like these. Busy cooking dinner and she was so thrilled to get to watch some Frozen, she had to actually sit down AND sit still to take it all in! That in itself is a Christmas miracle, but add that to the warm cozy feeling of Christmas ambiance in our home, and this mama's heart is incredibly full! #Martitzpartyof3 #simplify

Had to go outside and catch a few snowflakes on our tongues! What a cute little pink puffball!!

This was her first real encounter with touching snow. She was so thrilled to be outside while it was snowing, she grabbed Jordan's hand and made him walk up and down the street with her.... several streets actually ha ha! It was a good way to break her in to the snow before we went to Twin Falls for Christmas and tubing in the South Hills!

Patient watching out the window at all the snow.... Ready to build a snowman!

Nuff said <3

He always has me laughing on the daily!!

Can't resist a pic every night of this wild sleeper. Too funny!

So we had a little trick up our sleeve close to Christmas... My mom is the choir director in their ward and she totally ROCKS at it! She spends months preparing and practicing for the best performance! We decided to drive down for the day and surprise her for the program. It was priceless! She cried. I cried. And Adalynn was just happy to see Grandma! The program was amazing and we enjoyed a short day with family <3

Christmas Sunday! LOVE my family!

Our Christmas princess <3

Loves Grandma & Grandpa!

I couldn't WAIT for Santa to come visit this sweet girl! Christmas was 4 days away and the anticipation was literally KILLING me! Christmas with kids is SO. MUCH. MORE. FUN!!

Back to dark for the winter! BOOM!

After nap snuggles with my favorite princess tonight!I was totally in heaven! This is about the only time she sits still long enough for me to hold her. Why can't they just stay little forever?!

Only a few days till Christmas and she loves playing Christmas songs on her Mickey Mouse book from Great Grandpa and Grandma Dutry!

Came out of the bedroom to find this cute girl just staring up at the tree. It was so sweet!!!!

Good morning from this little yogurt lover!

Stay tuned for Christmas festivities in Twin Falls!

Love,
Jordan & Elise
