Our house/life has been nothing short of CRAZY this past month! Birthdays and events all sorts of {FUN} things :) Time for a month recap!
Cute little helper for the day! How can you resist that face?!
For family night, we went on a bike ride to the park. Can you tell she loves the swings?! and she loves that daddy pushing her even more than the swings ;)
Nothing like coming home from the park to some icecream in the backyard!
Adalynn is quite the little fish. We took her back to the YMCA to go down the slide and have some family fun :) Summer can't come soon enough so we can play in the water a lot more!
Always got her little bum in the air. SO cute!
Miss Adalynn took off walking at 11.5 months! More like running actually ;) I took a cute video of it, but didn't get a picture! She went with me to Staples that night to get her birthday invites printed and was walking ALL over the place! THAT I DID get a pic of and will have to do :)
With the weather warming up, we took our first family picnic together! It was so much fun and Adalynn was thrilled that she could eat outside AND not have to sit in her high chair. We got some fried chicken and other goodies and had such a fun night! Simple moments sure are the best!
Sitting on a blanket
having a picnic with my family I realize just how truly blessed I am. God has
blessed me with an amazing wife and beautiful daughter. Sometimes I work so
hard to support my family and have nice things for them that I overlook the biggest
blessing in my life. My family. — with Elise Martitz.
Adalynn got a new Doc McStuffins (her favorite) tent and so daddy spend the morning playing peek-a-boo with her and trying to coax her into coming in. BEST daddy ever!
Later that Saturday we have a fun little family night out starting with some Cafe Rio.. YUM!!! We even took a rare {family} selfie! Afterwards we went to Toys R Us to do a little birthday shopping for Adalynn :) It was her first time and I don't know who had more fun, Jordan or Adalynn. Seriously!
Church has been serious struggle with this cute girl! She is so busy and active that it makes the gap before she can go into nursery at 18 months miserable!
But this Sunday I had to take double take to make sure I had the right kid.. she was SO good and well behaved just reading her book and eating her snacks. I was so proud! Love her so much!
This blankie girl is always a good laugh guaranteed... She couldn't just go to bed with ONE blankie. Instead she had to collect all the blankies from around her room and bring them to drink her bottle with me. So stinkin cute!
Adalynn LOVES the swings! AND! she can even go down the little slide all by herself now! What??!?! yeah she is such a big girl!
Even Daddy took her down the big slide! We sure do love riding to the park :)
Well um that looks comfortable?? Always a silly wild sleeper
Headed into town with this girly! We are shopping buds
This sweet princess
let me rock her to sleep not once today, but TWICE! Not sure why, but no
complaints here! I made sure to snuggle her for quite some time and soak it all
in while reminiscing of her tiny baby snuggly days ♡ Now she is such a big girl turning ONE next week and most importantly,
sweeter and sassier than ever ♡
You've turned our world upside down baby girl and we wouldn't have it any other
way!
So it was free smoothie day at Jamba juice and we had a little mommy and me date :) She was so excited that they gave her her OWN! We went over the grass outside at enjoyed our smoothies and sunshine! That cute smile says it all!
My mom came up to see her cousin that was visiting and her aunt that was having a birthday, so of course we had some fun and with Grandma in town, Adalynn was sure spoiled! She always brings her little treats and toys when she comes to visit! She was thrilled to get some tub pain and cute sunglasses and books :) Grandmas are the best!
The same day that my mom left back to Twin Falls, my dad came up to help Jordan fix our fence. Our HOA that we moved into has just been peachy to deal with, so after being on mandatory overtime working 6 days a week, he drove after work to help us get it all fixed! Adalynn LOVES her grandpa Morrow. like LOVES. I don't know what it is about him, but she went not walking over to him when she saw him, she RAN! My mom was dying and wished she would have videoed it! Such a ham. LOVE these two!
The Sunday before Adalynn's birthday, this post came up on my Timehop app. How perfect to kick of birthday week! This was my last pregnancy pic at 39 weeks before Adalynn was born!
Monday was a crazy busy day because Tuesday was the day we were headed to Twin Falls to celebrate Adalynn's birthday, My birthday, and do family pictures! We had all sorts of errands to run in town so we met up with Jordan for lunch at Panda. Days are always ten times sweeter when we get to see daddy during the day! Can't beat my two faves, Panda and these 2 cute faces :)
Adalynn is a total trouble making tornado. She is ALWAYS into something. By the time you clean up one mess, she has made 3 more. And on to the dresser to pull ALL of her clothes out! Sheesh this girl drives me crazy sometimes! Good thing she is so cute <3
We got all packed up to leave for Twin Falls and Jordan had to stop and do a call on the way out... so we played in the grass outside and took a cute little selfie. I love this girl and even more I love being her momma!
Don't get many pics with this stud so I take the opportunity when I get it! He works so hard for our family non stop and I just can't get enough family time with him! Grateful that I have been blessed with such a great husband and daddy to our little girl! Twin Falls, here we come!
Our last stop before hitting the road to Twin was to get some dinner. This girl loves fries just like her momma! That cute grin is to die for!
April 29th brought a year since this pic was taken.... I couldn't help but reminisce of how this past year has FLOWN by! It was such a long day in that bed getting induced and the anticipation of meeting our baby girl!
Twas the night before my first birthday... the last night of Adalynn being 11 months old! I can't believe it has gone this fast!
Happy "birthing" day to me! That day was so special and forever turned our world upside down to finally meet our little girl!
BIG BIRTHDAY SHOUT OUT to our sweet baby girl Adalynn!!! As I have said all week long, I can't believe she is {ONE} today ♡ 8:35am made us the happiest new parents ever and she has been such a blessing to have in our home! She is so full of personality and girly girl ♡ Can't wait to celebrate on Saturday! Mommy and Daddy love you!! #happybirthdaytoyou #AdalynnClaire— with Jordan Martitz.
I had so much fun doing her First Birthday Pictures a few weeks before her birthday :) Here are my faves from it!
On the night of Adalynn's birthday, we did our first FAMILY pictures! It was a bit stressful, but I am thrilled with what we got despite Adalynn being not so cooperative. Go figure! Here is our 2015 family pictures!
We brought my mom and and dad along to get some smiles from her and to entertain! After we grabbed some Carl's Jr. in Burley before heading back to Twin Falls!
She was so fascinated at Grandpa popping his mouth with his finger!

The next day brought MY birthday :) the big 25! We spent the day together and prepping for Adalynn's party and then the hubs and I got to enjoy dinner and Furious 7 together! Such a fun day and a great way to kick off this next year being 25 :)
Adalynn got to go see Grandma at work at the law office! She nestled right into her chair and tried to type an email. The ladies loved to see her and Adalynn loved to see all the M&M decorations in Grandma's office! Too fun :)
Saturday, May 2nd was Adalynn's birthday party that I have been planning for for months! It came out great and she had a ball with her pink lemonade theme. Happy Birthday baby girl! We love you so much!
We also snuck out to take some updated pics of this stud while down in Twin Falls for the week! Love me some brother sister time! It was quite the eventful night and even ended up getting caught up in some stinging nettle. OUCH! The price you pay for pics I guess!
Being home, Scooter is so funny and super protective! I went downstairs to use the bathroom while Adalynn was napping and he felt like he needed to guard the door.. and then come a little closer for more protection ;) Too funny!
So thankful for a
little girl that is constantly reminding me of the little moments in the middle
of me being focused on tackling the {BIG} things! I always sing her "you
are my sunshine" before bed time and tonight, I was singing to her, with her
snuggled up on my chest with her blankie. She proceeded to attempt to sing
along with me and melting my heart with those big blue eyes looking up at me,
and then would randomly reach up and plant a big kiss on my cheek in between
verses.....By golly little sweet babies can touch parts of your heart that you
never knew existed #letthetearsflow#ILIVEforthesemoments
Twin Falls was sure a jam packed blast, but nevertheless we headed home after a fun filled week!
Looking cute as always! Mommy loves McDonald's fountain Dr. Pepper and Adalynn loves chicken nuggets, so we have McDonald's lunch dates a lot when we go shopping in town :)
Lovin this warm weather!
I should start a list
of all the things I never knew I would say having kids...
Topping the list today is "please don't
put my Tupperware in the toilet..."#mommyadventures
Happy Engagement Day to us on May 5th! Coming up on our 3 year anniversary and 6 years together! Whoa! Love this hunk so much!
Being a new {ONE} year old is hard work! She was all tuckered out! On this particular day, Jordan had worked a really long day at work, came home long enough to fix something in the backyard and eat dinner, and then had to head back to work to do a late install. Adalynn sure loves her daddy, but this night, she hit a sweet spot for sure! She was so happy when he came home and threw on some basketball shorts because she knew he was home to play with her. We ate dinner and then he put his work clothes back on. She gave him the saddest puppy face knowing that he was leaving her again. Jordan was pretty broken hearted seeing that, but headed out the door to work. After he left and I got her out of her chair and wiped off, she went into every room in the house saying daddy? daddy? I thought my heart was going to break..... It was SO sad! She LOVES her daddy and he works hard to make sure we have everything we need. We later visited him and took him a milkshake to say goodnight before bed!
Just a rainy day inside with this cutie <3 She loved to look out the slider to see the rain!
I LOVE when Jordan
gets home from work ♡ Adalynn completely
lights up when she sees him and has a non stop grin while saying over and over
"Daddy! Daddy!" I love having a husband that is such a good dad to
our baby girl! #candycrushandsnuggles
I decided to wait to take her in for her 12 month check up till after her party and all her birthday fun because shots are NOT fun! She is 22 lbs and 31.5 inches tall! She is officially OFF the charts in height, who woulda thought?! She has a tall daddy to thank for that! Happy and healthy girl!
I can't do shots, so I always make sure Jordan can make her shot appts. I stand in the corner, close my eyes, and plug my ears... then offer the consoling like a mom does best! She was such a trooper! 4 shots and she cried tops 10 seconds! Then was back to giggling and talking up a storm right after. Such a strong girl!
My absolute favorite time of the night... getting to snuggle and sing to this angel before bed ♡ What a great reminder for this Mother's Day weekend ♡ I sure love being your mom Adalynn Claire!#mommyandmetime #giggles #snuggles #kisses
I just can't get enough of her gorgeousness and dressing her all cute for warm weather! We headed out to the Village to eat for Mother's day at Yard House :) YUM!
Running around outside while waiting for our table :)
Happy Mother's Day! I got to sleep in complete with breakfast in bed and snuggling with my little family!
You could say she has grown a bit in a year! Last Mother's day she was a little ball of brand new baby.. this year she is busy busy and always on the move!
This girl is the reason I get to be a mom <3 I love you Adalynn!
Trying to get a cute picture of this girl in her pretty Mother's Day dress was next to impossible. She doesn't stop moving... ever!
So... I snapped a few pics in the Mother's Room at church and called it good :)
Does this dress make my butt look big?
She doesn't walk around.. she RUNS!
This will do pretty girl... This will do :)
We soaked up the sunshine after church and took a ride to the park!
Park!
Adalynn sure is a wild sleeper, belly and all stretched out!
Such a fun Monday with this goober! She chased the vacuum and tried to ride it, we had a little girls lunch with chicken nuggets, She laughed her head off in the car while reading a book, and played in the bathtub all morning while I cleaned the bathroom. Always an adventure with this girl!
Now that the weather is warming up, we are trying to get our yard looking beautiful and all trimmed! Jordan was mowing the grass and had a slight panic attack when this little guy slithered across the lawn and under the step! With a pair of tongs and a shovel, he took care of business. His words were, "I DON'T DO SNAKES!!" ha ha should be a fun Summer! We live by a swampy area so I'm sure he won't be the last water snake we see ;)
While Jordan mowed the lawn, I started doing some weeding and had quite the little weed helper!
I guess stroganoff and asparagus taste better when smeared in your hair and ears?! Ohh boy what a messy eater!
This age is so fun! Adalynn got some new snack cups at Target and she was THRILLED to be able to get our her own cheerios to eat. She sat in the kitchen for quite a while just helping herself into her snack cup. Too funny!
Of course, can never have just ONE blankie! All snuggled up!
It's a perfect day for a laundry basket ride!
If this isn't love, then I don't know what is! She is hard core into giving kisses and not just the regular ones.... he open mouth slobbery face grabbing kisses and I LOVE every single one! Such a sweetheart!
It has been fun to have Nolan, Jordan's brother, here for a while! We took a ride to the park the other night and had SO much fun! We rode bikes and Nolan longboarded with his dog Django :)
Siiiit. Staaaayyyy. Fetch! She knows how the commands work and loves to dog sit Django! Every time he fetches, she starts clapping and giggling and then he drops it right back to her! Definitely a dog girl smile emotico
She walks around to the slider saying jango! jango! And pointing ♡ — with Jordan Martitz and Nolan Martitz
Daddy came home from work and did some serious playing with Adalynn! Tub on the head peek-a-boo ;) She laughed and laughed!
Longer hair means fun bath hair!
This is what Friday looked like this past week! As much as we love our fun days together with just us girls, we are thrilled when the weekend comes and we get Jordan home ALL weekend long!
Unfortunately Friday also brought a not so fun outing! I am still having several problems with my wrist that isn't going away :( I have been getting injections to postpone surgery as along as I can because it will put me out 6-8 weeks in recovery! yikes! I headed into get another painful injection and just happened to snap a selfie while waiting for the doctor :)
The aftermath of the injection. SO painful but I have never wanted a needle so bad! The next few days are sure sore, but here's to hoping I can make it through the Summer before surgery is required!
This tiger just keeps getting more and more teeth! She is up to 4 on bottom, now 4 on top, AND her right back molar just came through! She is quite the little chomper. And of course lovin' those snack cups still!
A Sunday afternoon snooze and some spaghetti for dinner! She is a happy girl!
On to another fun filled month!
Love,
Jordan and Elise
