Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Wow we ended 2014 with some great memories and milestones :)
Christmas time was so much warmer that we were used to! The beginning of December we had several days in the 60s and it was beautiful! Didn't feel much like Christmas with that weather, but we couldn't complain with the sunshine!
The middle of December started the sick bug at our house..... Jordan wasn't feeling good thanks to a co-worker passing on a nasty sickness! We tried to Quarantine him to just our bedroom and me and Adalynn stayed FAR away! We went to do some Christmas shopping and out to eat while Jordan was resting. She kept the whole food court entertained with her smiles, squeals, and noises :) So cute! I just want to eat her up!
Jordan still wasn't doing so great and was getting worse and worse everyday. The next day we went into the doctor to find that he had a bad case of Bronchitis! Yuck! The doctor filled him in on all his meds while Adalynn and I documented it with a picture. Go figure!
Just a few random snaps of everyday life....
I'm pretty obsessed with pictures of her sleeping! So cute and peaceful and just adorable....
Nothing like a lazy Saturday morning playing with toys by the fire!! She loves toys!!
Can't forget a little play with the tree and lights... She takes off for the bows on the presents and then gets distracted by the lights :) Such a perfect Saturday morning well spent!
Who knew bath time could be so much fun?! She loves showers with daddy, but she also loves kicking in the bath! Such a cutie!
This next part was a not so good milestone for our family....
Despite our efforts to seclude ourselves from Jordan and his sickness, it spread with vengeance and Adalynn started to get sick. She is such an active and happy little bug so when she will only go to mommy and wants to do nothing but snuggle and sleep, it isn't good!
We hoped it would pass quickly, but instead, it got really bad, really fast! She wasn't breathing too well, wasn't very coherent, and had a really high fever. After trying several other things, we decided to head into the ER on Sunday night because she was in really bad shape. She was admitted with a 102.3 fever and really low oxygen levels. Her heart rate was also very high. How scary! I was panicking and in tears while they ran several tests and placed her IV. Probably the hardest thing other than birth is having to watch your little baby suffer and you can't take it all away!
Not so fun milestone to have your first ER visit at only 8 months old! Poor girl was miserable and wouldn't stop crying and moaning. They even gave her a little butterfly cast so she couldn't bend her arm with the IV in :(
After running several tests and after several hours in the ER, it was determined that she had an upper respiratory infection and Influenza. Several meds to get her better and we headed home to get her on the mend and daddy too!
The next several days were nothing but snuggles, relaxing, and cuddling!
My 2 sick snuggle bugs.... How freakin cute is this?!
The next few days were just relaxing at home and having fun while getting better :) Jordan was still down too!
Lots of warm baths for this sick girly!
She even tried scrambled eggs for the first time and LOVED them.... Can ya tell?!
Ohhhh so many faces from this little girl! That smile of hers is priceless though :)
uggghhh She is so cute!
and back to silly faces just like that!
One of her new tricks that has mom and dad quite nervous is this... because sucking on just the nipple is too mainstream! What a silly girl!
Sorry for the graphic content! If you know anything about miss Adalynn, she has always been the blowout queen! Several a day most of the time regardless of every brand of diaper! A powerful little messy booty that never ceases to amaze! Yuck!
Starting her out young with several trips to Target! Feel like a celebrity when I go into stores. So many people stop us to comment on how beautiful of a baby she is and her curly hair and blue eyes... Yes we will be in trouble when she grows up! She is so pretty!
Ok so let's talk about Adalynn's addiction with "selfies".Sounds funny right? Well it's the truth! It is so hard to get her to look to take a picture of her, but the minute you use the back camera and she can see herself, BAM! She laughs and giggles and is enthralled with seeing the picture of herself. Ha ha! We went with Jordan to the Chiropractor one morning before he went to work. We waited out in the waiting room, but Adalynn started getting restless and spitting. Yes you read that right spitting. So I whipped out my back camera and captured this cutie in her true colors... tongue out and all sass! One of my FAVORITE pictures of her!
But first, lemme take a selfie...... See what I mean?!
Well the sickness had went from Jordan to Adalynn and eventually hit me.... problem was that since I was the last to get it, It was so close to Christmas that I was miserable and wasn't able to do much of that "holiday" stuff. BOO!!!!
I also had a severe case of bronchitis! Went to the doctor and they refused to give me anything. Since it went untreated, it later developed into a full blown sinus infection that I had to be on antibiotics for a month! The xray was gross and I was furious to be dealing with such horrible sickness just days before Christmas! When I went to the doctor, Adalynn just happened to blow out with Jordan while I was gone and I received this cute picture on my phone... Little missy blew out so bad that she required a shower with dad. Good thing she is so cute!
I joked for a long time after we moved to Kuna how bad we needed a McDonald's to feed my Dr. Pepper foam cup addiction....and low and behold they started building one! I was thrilled!! I would call jordan all the time and give him an update as I drove by like "they have lights now!" and "The drive through is almost done!!". Yeah lame I know, but when you are a Dr. Pepper freak, this is a big deal. I even told Jordan, all I wanted for Christmas was for the new McDonald's to have foam cups! Well it opened and BAM! Merry Christmas to me!!!
Still battling being sick, I had had enough of a runny nose one night and resorted to this lovely picture... A nose plug it is! Nothing more annoying than a runny nose that won't quit! Cute right?! No idea why Jordan wouldn't have a thing to do with me... I guess he just doesn't dig tissue nose plugged women lol
I was feeling a bit robbed of the Christmas season beings that our family had been in hibernation for 2 weeks from being sick, so I doused the house in lysol and decided to do some Christmas baking. No way sickness was going to steal the fun things of Christmas!
Yummy Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark!!!
One of my favorite things about Christmas time is getting all the Christmas cards! We made a pretty good haul this year :) Love all the pictures and seeing what all our friends and family are up to!
I had a few last minute things to pick up before we headed off for Christmas vacation so Adalynn and I hit a few stores and went and had lunch together.
Such a messy eater, but she thought she was pretty hilarious! Everyone sitting by us just laughed at all her funny noises and cackles :)
We headed off to Twin Falls to spend Christmas with a TON of family! I headed out mid afternoon and Jordan headed down after work. With a little one now AND hauling gifts, taking 2 cars was a must!
While waiting for Jordan to get to Twin, we went and dropped off presents at Grandma and Grandpa Morrow's house. Of course she had to play a little with Grandma's toys and take a bite out of her presents :)
Christmas Eve Dinner was at Grandma Rice's house along with a fun gift exchange and the long time tradition of acting out the nativity!
Not sure what it is about Grandpa Morrow, but she LOVES him! No matter what is going on, when she sees him she laughs and laughs and sticks her tongue out and smiles. So funny!
All ready for the gift exchange!
Gma and Gmpa Rice
Merle and Eric
Sherri and Justin
Trent and Sherri
Gmpa Rice, Dad, Mom, and Merle
Justin scored to open some gum!
Gma was thrilled to get a Cafe Rio Gift Card
Funniest gift of the night! Trent got a sign that says, "It is what it is". We were all laughing so hard when he tried to open it and found that it was just that sign! He later used it to play his traditional role as the Inn Keeper in the nativity. Hilarious!
Sam got a Sonic gift card
Sherri scored some Biolage shampoo :)
I was thrilled to get Sea Salt Caramels. YES!
Eric chose the perfect gift and ended up with a ball shooting gun!
After doing the white elephant gift exchange, Our little family opened gifts with Gma and Gmpa Rice since we wouldn't see them for long on Christmas! They got Adalynn this super cute beach chair and a light up toy! She loved her chair can ya tell?!
Jordan got a huge pack of pepsi, I got some awesome hairspray from the beauty supply, and then we both got this picture board for our new house!
Last but not least of the Christmas Eve festivities, the annual nativity!
Every year, whatever family is visiting acts out the nativity and reads the story of baby Jesus' birth.
Look at that cute wiseman!
My dad read the nativity story out of Luke :)
Even Scooter helped out as a sheep!
The shepherd and his sheep
No room for Mary and Joseph at the Inn. As said by the Inn keeper, "It is what it is!" ha ha!
Trent as the Inn Keeper
Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. Why does baby Jesus look so familiar?! lol
Look at those 3 wisemen! What studs :)
Mary "great with child"
Ahh I love Christmas traditions! We headed back to Jordan's mom's house to get some rest and for Santa to visit Adalynn!
Daddy played with Adalynn for a bit in her Christmas jammies before putting her to bed so Santa could come. We were so excited!
Adalynn's Santa gifts :) Quite the haul for her first Christmas!
Aaaannnd here comes the picture overload! Adalynn was so funny! At first she didn't know what to think about all those toys, and then she had to lay IN all her toys and ROLL around in them. So funny! We were cracking up! She had to soak it all in I guess :)
She was so spoiled with tons of clothes, toys, books, a water floatie, bath toys, and much more!
She really just wanted to eat the paper and bows :) lol
Adalynn loves Aunt Kerin!
After opening gifts with Jordan's family, we headed over to my family's house to do presents and eat with them. This Christmas was special because my cousin, Riley, is on a mission in England and we got to Skype with him!
His companion is from Africa and is likes doing Rap, so he did a little show for us :) ha ha! So funny!
He looks so good and we all were cracking up over his accent! Oh good ole England!
We opened presents with Grandpa and Gma Dutry, ate a yummy Christmas feast, and opened presents with my family too!
One of my most favorite presents for Christmas! A blanket with our pictures on it from this year!
The boys got one too :)
NaJean and Grandpa
Our family gave Eric the Big Bang Theory CLUE game. So fun!
Adalynn got a Vtech music bear from Great gma and gmpa Dutry. As you can see she was so over opening presents for the day!
Trent and Sherri

Justin and Dallin
Just us hanging with Sami
Mom and Dad
More presents for Adalynn! Who woulda thought ;)
Daddy and Adalynn! She sported her onesie that said "Best gift ever!"
Sami learned how to make some cool Christmas Tree Napkins for dinner!
We love seeing so much family in Twin, but it is nice to have a little date with just us! The day after Christmas, Jordan and I snuck away to lunch and Adalynn just happened to sleep through it all. AMAZING! Best lunch ever....
We had to do a few returns and a little shopping the day after Christmas and Adalynn kept everyone entertained as usual! She is just so stinkin cute! Can't help but snap a few pics.... and the amount of pictures I have of her in a Target Shopping cart, we just won't discuss :)
With all sorts of fun family in town, we decided to go swimming in Hagerman. Oh how much fun we had! Lots of cousins and aunts and uncles :) Even Gma and Gma Rice came too! Adalynn LOVES the water! She is quite the little fish and loves to kick and splash like crazy! She got a new floatie for Christmas to use in the pool so she was so excited to swim around in it :)
Every time we go to Hagerman, we always try to stop by the local icecream shop there. It has switched hands a few times, but has the BEST homeade icecream EVER! We all got different flavors and they were so yummy :) They also have fresh cream, cheese, milk and yogurt.
Well beings that we have a rather large family who all love basketball, we got everyone together for a game! Jordan's sister's boyfriend and his brothers also came too so there was enough to play a full court game! Everyone else came to watch and cheer them on.
Of course Sami loves time playing with Adalynn and Adalynn loves her too. So cute!
Since we were in hibernation for the 2 weeks before Christmas (literally) from being sick, Adalynn got to wear her Christmas dress in Twin Falls while we were there! How did I get so lucky to have this stud for husband and this gorgeous little girl as a daughter??!!
Christmas vacation was so fun, it was hard to come back home! It is a little easier though being 2 hours away instead of 7! Back to Kuna we went :)
Our little princess turned 8 Months old on December 30th! Holy cow time flies! 8 Month stats to follow with post :)
She is pretty excited can ya tell?!
New years fast approached and my family came up to our house to play games and ring in the new year! Of course there was good food and snacks involved. Such a must for New Years shenanigans! We didn't document very well, but we did get a few snapshots while they were here :)
Adalynn LOVES playing with Justin!
Snuggling with Grandpa of course, jammies and all!
There is a new pizza place in Meridian that we are kind of obsessed with. It is sooo good! We had to take my family there when we came and have them taste the awesomeness! YUM!
We started off 2015 in Kuna with some seriously cold temperatures! Needless to say, Adalynn and I enjoyed a cozy lazy day inside by the fire playing with toys :) Can't resist that cheeky grin and 2 pearly whites!
and the cuddling and keeping warm continued that night...don't mind her crazy bedhead, it was a bow-free day at home!
So we had played so hard together all day that this happened....Photo courtesy of Jordan :)
Yeah not the most flattering picture, but hey, it was a priceless moment. Being a mommy isn't always glamorous or flattering, but that sweet girl right there on my lap is perfect! We just love her to pieces!
She is such a fast little crawler now and is everywhere all the time! I set the garbage bag down for 10 seconds before I took it out and I came back to find this... #busted! She giggled like she was so funny!
Well to wrap up our beginning of the new year adventures, we decided to have a little family date for frozen yogurt at Menchies. YUM is an understatement! Adalynn knows exactly how it works and shows you right where the spoon belongs, in her mouth!
Well Whew! That wraps up our year! So much fun and so many memories :) Can't wait to see what 2015 holds for our little family!
Love,
Jordan, Elise, and Adalynn
