Our busy adventures in {NOVEMBER & DECEMBER}

Time for another update on our little family! We are settling in and enjoying our new house and area so much! Jordan is a little stressed running around ragged in his new territory, but more details on that a little later in the post! First to start with the beginning of November!

So moving to a new area, we needed to find a new doctor for Miss Adalynn! In a round about way, our cousin is an awesome family doctor in Meridian so she now gets to go see Dr. Aaron for her well checks and all her medical fun stuff! Such a relief to have someone we know be taking care of our princess :) She went in for her 6 month check up and was a healthy and happy girl! Her favorite part was being able to rip up the paper on the table ;)

Shots were no fun, but she was back to her normal sassy self in no time!

Well it didn't take long once it got cooler for sickness to hit our house! Thank goodness I was the only one that was sick, but it was a doozy! Throwing up is never fun and that meant Jordan staying home from work and doing things that he isn't used to helping out with. So thankful for him! He was so helpful though and was so cute trying to feed Adalynn! Had to snap a pic!

Jordan's new territory comes with some serious perks! He is close enough all the time now that we can meet up with him for lunch! Adalynn gets so excited when we get to see him for a quick lunch during the day and its so fun! Red Robin was yummy and we loved spending a bit with Jordan before he headed to more accounts!

So.... I make these TO DIE FOR lemon cupcakes with fresh lemon cream cheese frosting. They are so yummy! I can't make them too often because with just us two eating them, I can't resist eating like ALL of them. Well we got our homeowners association newsletter and meeting information for November AND.... there was a cupcake bake off competition at the meeting!! I was so stoked and was prepared to go in with guns blazing. After all, Neighborhood bakeoff winner title?! How cool would that be?! I was bound and determined to win! I baked my heart out and just might have come home with an award ;)

 ^^^^^^^Um yes that's right!!!

Just some random Saturday morning fun while eating some cereal :)

A rough day never lasts too long with this cutie always smiling and giggling at you! How precious is she?! I just love her!

Well now that we live SO much closer to Twin, we had our first set of visitors!!! I was so excited I had to bake some banana bread and some treats :)

My Mom and Grandma Rice came to visit for a girl's day/few days and it was so much fun! All 4 of us girls including Adalynn had fun shopping and eating some food :) Of course Grandma Morrow brought Adalynn so many fun new things like boots, a despicable me beanie, and even a few new outfits! She spoils Adalynn so much :) Grandma's are the best!!

New hat and one of her new outfits!

Lunch at Olive Garden!

Starting her young :) Shopping at Hobby Lobby

Just hangin out with Great Gma Rice

Grandma's girl

Our little girl has turned into such a stomach sleeper! Just like her momma :)

Adalynn had quite the time teething her bottom 2 teeth and was a little sick the first part of November. No fun! Her 6 month pictures were a little delayed and snuck in between throwing up, but she powered through it and was a doll as always!

Well the Boise area receive a "polar vortex" they called it around mid November. It was crazy! We got a good foot of snow, the roads were a mess, and after it went into the single digits! That didn't stop us from going to watch daddy play basketball! We bundled up and went to the game to cheer him on!

Little girl is getting some serious curls! LOVE them!!

As previously said above, Jordan has been working like CRAZY trying to get his new Meridian Territory under control so we haven't seen too much of him lately. We were so thrilled to be able to have him home for the WHOLE weekend and Adalynn just soaked up time with dad :)

A cold frosty Saturday morning called for a scrumptious hot breakfast!

We played hard can ya tell?! She was all tuckered out!

She worked so hard to get her 2 little toothies through and now you can finally see them! Bad picture but there are her 2 pearly whites!

All prettied up for church on our first week! Everyone in our ward thought she was the prettiest little girl!

Well beings that we were headed to Twin Falls for Thanksgiving which was a week later than normal, we put up our tree and decorations for when we got back! Normally I am a "not up until after Thanksgiving person" but we broke that rule this year! Our halls have been decked!

Never a dull moment at our house... I love giggly silly moments like this! That's what happens when you send Jordan to go put her in her jammies!

Adalynn is quite the mix of both Jordan and I, but overall she looks just like me when I was a baby! Check out the resemblance! She's not mine or anything...

Winter basketball is in full swing and we LOVE to go watch him tear up the court every week! We love our basketball stud :) Melts my heart every time when he makes a basket and winks at me up in the bleachers :)

 Adalynn even loves to watch!

Daddy and his little cheerleader after the game!
She was so tired from cheering him on, we got all the way home and found this! She didn't even care that her bow was over her eyes ha ha!

A late night emergency call meant a ride in the car for us girls! Just playing around in the car while daddy finished the call :)

Jordan hardly ever gets to put Adalynn to bed at night, let alone have her fall asleep in his arms! So precious!

Adalynn LOVES her baths, but she LOVES her showers too! Such a little fish :)

Nothing like a winter's morning nap in her monkey jammies. I just love to watch her sleep!

SO having a little girl makes Christmas a TON more fun! I spent a good month planning her Christmas pictures and executing them was quite the task! Whew! Good thing they turned out so cute :) After an afternoon full of pictures, she was all tuckered out, she even fell asleep in her exersaucer haha

Here are how they turned out! I LOVE them!!!

Ahhh holidays are so much more fun with little ones!

This little monkey is getting so fast! I picked her up with a cheese stick in my hand and 2 seconds flat she had grabbed it and shoved it in her mouth. Oh boy what a sneaky little stinker :) She was so proud!

Another precious nap picture.... I have a problem, I know!

With all those curls, she has created quite the cute bedhead look! Only a mommy could love that smashed curly hair on this cute girl :)

So our really good friends, Jon and Allie Scott, passed through Boise and we got to go eat some yummy food at On The Border when they came through! So fun to see them! Oakley and Adalynn had fun playing with each other too!

We may not see Jordan much from work, but when we do, he keep us on our toes! Quite the hilarious dude!

So... I can laugh about this situation NOW, but when it happened, I was less than thrilled! It takes a lot to get everyone dressed and out the door for church. These pictures have a difference of about 45 minutes. She was all frillied up for church only to be brought home 45 minutes later wearing nothing but a diaper, thanks to a massive blowout in her dress and tights! She even smeared it all over her face. Yes carrying her out of church in a diaper and blanket when its freezing outside made me look like quite the mom of the year! Good thing she is so cute!

Another fun lunch date with dad! Lovin the mashed potatoes in the big girl high chair!

Adalynn had a short doctor's appointment with Dr. Aaron right before we went to Twin Falls for Thanksgiving to make sure she was good to go. Of course she was quite the ham for him and all the nurses!

We spent Thanksgiving with Jordan's family this year. So much food and so much fun!

We did some Black Friday shopping with Jordan's mom for an Ipad Air and went out shopping the next day to get some Christmas presents off our list. Adalynn was quite the trooper while we shopped and even saw Santa!

That Saturday was super rainy and cold so we went and had a little fun bowling with my family and came back to play charades! So fun and so funny!

Getting my dad to play charades is quite the feat so I had to get this documented. We were laughing so hard we could barely breathe.

My mom didn't disappoint either in the funny department ;)

Before charades, we met my Grandma and Grandpa Dutry for dinner at Denny's. Adalynn was looking super cute in her fur vest and boots! What a stylish little gal ;)

Another month flew by and before we knew it, Adalynn turned 7 months old! Where does the time go?!

Just a silly afternoon with little bear.. How could I resist a picture with those little bear ears on?!

A fun #tbt post back to when Adalynn first discovered my magnifying mirror AND the flash on my phone. Too funny!

December is now here and our annual Christmas poem and card were sent out!

This last weekend, my brother and family came up for his State Drama competition  He placed first at district competition and came up to Boise to compete at State! We went to go watch him and it was so fun! He did a humorous solo piece about a scout and his friend Harold :)

Good Morning from this cutie playing with her toys!

The present struggle has begun! She LOVES the shiny bows and she army crawls to get to them :)

While pregnant with Adalynn, I developed a hand condition from all my extra fluids and high blood pressure. It causes severe pain in my thumb and all the way up my wrist into my arm. I went to the hand specialist in Lewiston who gave me an injection and I went to physical therapy to heal it over the course of 2 months. It eventually went away and within the last week, it has returned with vengeance. I went back into the hand specialist here in Meridian, and he confirmed that there is alot of fluid and scar tissue built up and I need surgery. YIKES! NOT what I wanted to hear at all.... Due to the built up scar tissue, he tried one last injection to see if it would work, otherwise surgery is a must. It was so thick, he couldn't even get the 4 inch needle through where it needed to go. OUCH! Praying the injection works because surgery will put my in a cast and immobile for 3 weeks. That is hard to imagine with such an active baby and so much going on. We are hoping for the best!

I love that this year I have a shopping buddy to get Christmas gifts! She was all smiles, giggles, and spitting through the store :)

Now that we have a Chili's down here and its one of Jordan's accounts, he was all over getting some of my favorite ranch for us at home! As previously told, I am a ranch freak and love restaurant style ranch. I mixed it all up and now ranch on everything!!

Bed all messed up and socks kicked off, but snuggled fast asleep and snoring! She is seriously the sweetest little thing ever :)

Finishing up this fun post with little Adalynn's curls!! I just can't enough of them! They are to DIE FOR!! Daddy is going to have to get a second job to fun the mousse and shampoo of his curly haired girls!

Until next time, Take Care and Merry Christmas!!!

Love,
Jordan & Elise
