Starting July with a {BANG}

Well we have made it to July and here is the first post of many this month! Prepare for a pic overload post, just like I like it :) Nothing tells a story better than a ton of pictures!!

First off, I have been anticipating a project with this for a long time! My grandparents were going to throw away an old door from their house about a year ago, and instead, I insisted on dragging it up to Lewiston to make it something great! After many plans and ideas, I finally finished it and I LOVE how it turned out! It is so nice to have a piece of my grandparents 7 hours away up on our patio!!

As promised, our temps got up into the triple digits and record breaking heat last week!! It was insane! We went to the store and I reached to hold Jordan's hand and he was like "WHOA!!! We don't hold hands in the summer, we high five! Its wayyyy too hot for that crap!" And at that point I was laughing hysterically and was reminded that being married to that goofball was a laugh a minute :)

Super hot weather led into our first 4th of July in Lewiston! My family came out for the holiday clear from Twin Falls and it was their first time visiting :) I was so excited to show them our city and house and where we work!

Took them for a spin in our new wheels :)

My dental office!!!

Pretty big teeth huh?!

Leave it to Justin to be silly!

Everyone had to get their complimentary tooth brush to take home! Yay for brushing teeth!

Eating lunch at our favorite Chinese buffet

Drove up to the top of the hill to overlook the whole Lewiston/Clarkston Valley. So Pretty!

Had to make sure Dad made salsa while visiting. LOVE!

Taste testing the first batch!

We leave close to the Nez Perce Indian Reservation, so we are able to do all illegal fireworks over there which is about 15 min outside of Lewiston :) We started out the 4th with a yummy BBQ and then walked by the river in Clarkston to watch the fireworks! It surprisingly cooled off that night and was a beautiful walk! We ended the night with fireworks on the reservation where we have a few casualties including a burn on the hand and firework residue in Jordan's eye! YIKES! Leave it to our family to keep things interesting :)

July also brings some special events, including my mom's 50th birthday!!! She has talked for a while that all she wanted for her birthday was to be able to ski. She hasn't been able to for a long time because of only having Jet Ski's to pull with, so we talked to some friends that have a boat and made it happen while they were here! And of course, I got some serious photographic evidence of that moment. She popped right up skiing and even got brave enough later to tube with me. WHAT??!! Yeah brace yourself for those pictures! We spent all day on the river tubing, skiing, and knee boarding and it was more than a blast!! We even packed a picnic. The boys came home and crashed on the couch and in the recliner so I'm pretty sure it was a successful afternoon!! We finished off the evening at our favorite waterfront restaurant, Roosters, in Clarkston. Ohhhh and later we broke out the firepit and smores! The fun never ends with us party animals :)

The Before Pic!!!

Aaaannnndd she is UP!! First try! 50 this month and she's still got it!

Thumbs up after means it was a success!!!

Justin getting ready to try

First time skiing and popped right up! Can you tell by the huge grin on his face?!

First time skiing and barely fit in the ski boots with his size 14 feet!

Yes that's my super hot husband being goofy :) I kinda love him <3

Jordan and Justin were tubing buddies and boy did they get a workout holdin on!

Dad made a pretty dang good flag boy in between skiing :)

Yup that happened! and boy was that a ride!

Up first try and I STILL got it! BOOM!

Dad floating waiting to ski :)

Don't forget to take a breath babe ;)

Mom and Dad

Justin and Jordan round 2 on the tube!

Such a riot to watch from the boat :)

Yes you are seeing that right... My mom decided to brave the tube with me!! This is the most normal picture we have and it was all down hill from there!

It started with laughs.....

and kept going with laughing harder....

to the point of laughing so hard that we are crying and peeing our pants!! NEVER forget that day!!

Ha Me and Justin took a spin too! Almost had a few casualties but we managed ;)

LOVE this kid!!

James and Shawna who took us out for the day! Such fun people! Shawna is a dental assistant at my work and Jordan works with James at one of his chemical accounts. Such a blast!

Yeah he is kind of a BIG deal!

Proof that boating was a SUCCESS!! Out right when we got home :)

Dinner by the water at Rooster's

Sunday brought a very special day... Our first anniversary!!
One year ago, the rest of our lives began together It was hotter than heck outside, but I married the man of my dreams in the dress of my dreams and the day couldn't have been more perfect! 4 Years together and 1 year married, where did the time go?? They weren't kidding when they said the 1st year was the hardest, but it has been great to share "firsts" and grow together I do {photography... & laundry} and he {plays basketball & does the dishes}, but the {BEST} part is that we are in {LOVE}. a 7 hour move to a new place far away from family, job changes, several trips, and a new car later we are looking to the future and can't wait to see what it holds! Here is to many more anniversaries together and all the twists and turns that life brings. He is my better half and always believes in my dreams to make them a reality! Love him so much!!

Whew that was a looooong post, but well worth the read right?! Always something new and fun!! We are gearing up for Jordan's family to come visit this week and i'm sure another pic overloaded post will be necessary! Happy July <3

Love,
Jordan & Elise
