{October 2016} Grandma Martitz Visits WA, Special News, & Halloween

October, Good Ole October... Nothing short of a fun month for us that flew by :)

Two of my favorite things; Playing catch with this cutie and General Conference!

In between Conference sessions, we headed outside to splash in the puddles! Because after all, you haven't REALLY lived until you have splashed puddles in your jammies :) I live for spontaneous moments like this!

Hide N Seek with this goober is so much fun..... It is even more fun when Daddy plays and helps her hide in the best places!

Look out world! This girl has her very own library card now! She loves to bring home a basket of books and of course check out all the interactive toys they have. It is a pretty cool library!

Tickle wars with daddy! <3 Oh my be still my heart.....

It was national taco day, so of course we went swimming. AND had tacos for dinner. ha ha! We have quite the little fishy! And of course we love Firstenburg!

So... us girlies got a little crazy one day :) The longer Adalynn's hair keeps growing, the tighter the curls keep getting, so I wanted to see just how long it REALLY is! She was so patient and let me straighten it. Took FOREVER by the way.... Jordan was home on a teleconference and she walked in and blew him away! She looked like a toally different girl :) Too cute!!
Always being silly ;)

She LOVES reading stories with daddy, especially when it is Jungle Book! He tells it the best and does the best voices!

So we hadn't had a date night in like well FOREVER! So I surprised Jordan one night with tickets to wrestling in Portland. I didn't tell him until the day of and it was a lot of fun to see the suspense of guessing where we were going. I sure love this guy of mine! He is my rock!

Really good seats!

He was just a little excited :)

I LOVE peeking in on Adalynn during Nursery... When did she get so grown up?! She melts my heart!

We LOVE the Portland Zoo and hadn't been in a while, so we hit up $4 zoo day and pretty much had the place to ourselves! It was beautiful weather and we had the best time!

The hippo swam right up to us and opened his mouth to show us all his teeth! Adalynn thought it was super cool!

Oh goodness, I sure love our little family <3

Absolutely have to hit the carousel!

This girl takes her ranch VERY seriously! ha ha!! Look at that excited face!

Halloween costumes were quite the dilemma, but we sure had fun trying on fun masks! Cutest minion EVER!

October means Halloween and Halloween means a fun trip to pumpkin patch!! We had a blast this year and Adalynn was in heaven!

Riding the tractor out to the patch! Adalynn thought this was pretty awesome :)

Daddy helped her pick the perfect pumpkin... She was sure choosy! She knocked on several and felt how smooth they were before picking the winner :)

Still looking!

Doesn't get ANY cuter than this!!

After picking her pumpkin, she found a baby one and was so excited! She had to take it home and put it on her bookshelf. She called it her "special pumpkin." Too cute!

Trying to wave down the tractor with her baby pumpkin to pick us up! ha ha!

Hay ride selfies are the best!

They also had a small petting zoo that we made sure to do before we left! Jordan got some animal food and Adalynn loved them eating right out of her hand :)

A girl can never have too many bath buddies! She always says," I want to take a bathtub with all my friends mom!" Again, she is a fish!

"Mommy, my belly hurts. Put a bandaid on it please?"
Talk about breakin' a momma's heart! It hit her fast and hard. Poor girl had it rough with a nasty case of bronchitis that lasted wayyy too long!

THIS!
Our sick monkey didn't move much and mostly just snuggled in the beanbag while she was sick. Ugh so hard as a parent to watch your kid hurt and not be able to help or take it away!

A break in between rainstorms to see a gorgeous HUGE rainbow! I couldn't even get it all in one picture!

We had pretty much been hibernating while Adalynn was sick, so when she started feeling a little bit better, I broke her out of the house for a little swimming fun!

Grocery shopping fun with this goober. Can you tell what is her favorite?!

We got a special treat this month, Grandma Martitz flew to Washington to come visit us! So naturally, let's read her EVER book you have! ha ha! She was so excited to show her her "big girl bed" and all her toys :)

Adalynn was also pretty excited that Grandma Martitz got to come watch her dance at dance class! She would run over to her in between songs and make sure she was watching her <3 It was pretty darn cute!

Oh this girl is spoiled, but we sure watching her get excited! We got tickets to Disney on Ice and kept it a secret until the night of! She was in suspense all day of what her "surprise" was and was excited that Grandma got to come too! She was all ready, of course, wearing her Minnie shirt!

Our whole crew!

Daddy spoiled her with a new Woody toy before it started. She was thrilled!

Ohhh this face was sooooo worth it!!

She didn't want to miss a thing!

There was 4 stories total. The first one was Toy Story, one of her favorites!

Again, I just wanted to watch her face the WHOLE time! She had SO much fun and her face said it all!

Little Mermaid up next. There was even bubbles that filled the arena!

Cars was 3rd!

And last, Frozen! Talk about a girl's dream...

The fun didn't stop there! Grandma Martitz's last day we went to Dizzy Castle, on of Adalynn's favorite place to play! There are tons of slides and tunnels. She sure wore Grandma out showing her the ropes!

She even got Grandma to go down the slides.... There was screaming and laughing as Grandma FLEW Off the end of the slide going super fast! Hilarious!

Hi mom! Just goin' to church :)

Rare moments when Jordan snaps a pic... Bedtime stories with the princess! Reading one of my favorite childhood books, Owen!

Wild sleeper!

How cute it she though?!

So... we finally announced some BIG news! Adalynn will be getting promoted to a BIG sister in May! We are beyond thrilled and so is she! She always wants to check the baby's "heartbeep" and thinks going to the doctors office is the coolest thing. She wants nothing but a sister, and Jordan is dying for a boy. So yeah you could say it is a divided household!

A little belly bump shot I snagged at 9 weeks! My bump wasted NO time in showing up!

Always has her arms above her head and snoozing away <3 Love her to pieces!

Cute little stinker is quite the little fashionista! I wish I had her closet!

The Toys R Us Christmas Toy Catalog came in the mail.... Couldn't even tell who was more excited! ha ha!!

2 Going on 20! Her little personality cracks me up! All girl and all about the accessories!

Epic dinner fail, so we hit up MOD pizza. Sure do love these peeps!

Friends make Fridays so much sweeter! Swimming and Chick-fil-a made for a fun morning! These 3 amigos are best buds :)

Adalynn had a ball do pumpkins and we got a few laughs out of the deal :) She had to have a scraper paddle to help clean hers out so she wouldn't have to touch the "seaweed" ha ha!! I was instructed that she wanted a scary one, not a silly one! Good thing she approved of my un-artistic "scary" carving job thank goodness!

She is all about Pocahontas these days and pretty much all Disney movies! She knows all the character names and asks SO many questions about everything you can imagine!

Our ward trunk or treat :) Cutest Sulley ever! She loved the costume parade and the cupcake walk almost as much as collecting a bunch of candy!

Got to see our little nugget growing strong on Halloween! Super blurry and zoomed in, but my heart is soaring! After having severe anxiety from previously miscarrying, it was sigh of relief to see a strong little baby and heartbeat beating away! I had had a few problems and some spotting that really scared us, so we were sent for an ultrasound to make sure all was well. Come to find out, the spotting came from a blood clot that was attached right behind the placenta and should correct itself on its own. We were so grateful!

Happy Halloween! Little Sulley was the cutest trick or treater and didn't want to stop getting candy. She kept saying," C'mon, let's go find the next house!" It was pretty dang cute and hard to say no when the night was all done! We had some pretty awesome pumpkins too ;)

Happy October!
