Where the heck did May Go??? As said in the previous post, our move and transition have been MORE than rough. Like we lived to survive one day at a time! So what did I do? I took pictures. TONS of pictures. They helped to keep a smile in my heart on extra hard days.....At this point, we had been moved in a few days and were still getting things figure out. To top it off, the month of May kicked off with my birthday! We started off the day getting Adalynn's Big girl bed put together. I had to chuckle.... While Jordan was hard at work assembling her bed, she simply pulled up a seat on a box and grabbed a book. She is easy to please after no toys for several days!
Ta Da!!! We eventually ended up moving her bed to the other side of the room, but it turned out super cute :)
THIS was the highlight of my bday, unfortunately! While we were trying to work our way around TONS of boxes, we popped on Mickey Mouse in our room for Adalynn to hang out and watch. Heaven forbid she just sit and watch it... She ended up taking a dive off our queen sleigh bed, HEAD FIRST! We were totally freaking out and headed to the ER! She kept asking to go to sleep, which is TOTALLY unlike her, so we were praying she didn't have a concussion! Thankfully, she just had a huge knot on her head to show for it that later turned into a gnarly bruise. SO grateful!
Still such a cutie face while they monitored her activity for awhile.
After our little hospital scare, we headed for dinner at Noodles and Company. Adalynn was still a little out of it, but playing finger puppets with daddy always cheers her up!
Ended my birthday with cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! YUM!!! Here is to year 26 :)
The unpacking process is taking FOREVER! With no family and knowing literally no one, that leaves the two of us to make odds and ends of the house, while watching our wild child toddler at the same time. Oh yea and with no toys for her.... Not so fun! I did get her bathroom put together and she was thrilled to have something to call her own :)
When you can't find the plates still, you have a breakfast picnic in the living room, eating your food off a tupperware lid! We were roughing it for a few days... We didn't even have a fridge for the first week!
After several days of no toys and hardly any play, we were feeling pretty dang guilty as parents... so we took Adalynn to Chucky Cheese and played all night. She was in heaven!
Morning cartoons in Mom & Dad's bed!
First time trying out her new tub! It was a party with all her finger animals!
Such a cute audience :)
This melted my heart after not seeing so many smiles during the moving process...
We had a little shopping to do by a favorite playhouse that she LOVES, so Jordan and her played for a bit, while I shopped for house stuff!
First night in her Big Girl Bed!!
She was so excited!!
May 5th marked {FOUR} years since this guy proposed!! Time flies when you're in love having fun <3
Quite the little cook and even sporting the apron Grandma made her!
"Here Minnie, eat some watermelon!" ha ha!!
Someone is loving her new room! That smile lights up a room!
I don't know how we ever lived without this sweet girl... she fills a place in my heart I never knew was empty!! <3 <3
Got off the phone to find these two goobers hard at play together! Only good dads wear the octopus on their head! lol :)
Mother's day started with a long drive in the car! Jordan headed for Houston for a week after being in our new house for only a week!
Saying bye and dropping him off at the airport! <3 Jordan flew out of Kennewick so we could drive the other few hours on to Lewiston to be with friends for the week he was gone :)
Made it to Lewiston and this girl slept the whole way after we left the airport. BEST traveler!
We kicked off our fun week with friends at the Aquatic Center! We were a little bummed that the outdoor play area wasn't open yet, but we had a blast with Kim and the kids anyways indoors!
I can't even describe how excited Adalynn was to get to play in the water with friends. She never stopped squealing, screaming, and jumping!
Our happy bunch! We had so much fun together!
Hungry after swimming calls for lunch at our FAVORITE Chinese restaurant, Emerald Garden! I still dream of this yumminess ever since we left Lewiston! The owners still remembered our names and exactly what we order :) Such fun memories of the small town!
How appropriate :) This trip sure was a breath of fresh air for us while Jordan was away.
Hysterical laughing with Jen and Bella was just what my soul needed! I freakin missed these girlies!!!
Adalynn settled right in staying at Jen's house! With 4 girls at her house, Mike was out numbered!
I took Adalynn to the park down by the river to play and explore!
Adalynn had a total blast... She was mesmerized by the cool bridges, the water, the park, all the animals, and the trails to walk on. If we still lived there, she would be one happy girl!
Totally pooped.... She parties hard!!
I was getting ready one morning and it was a little too quiet... I came around the corner to find Adalynn just chilling in Bella's rocker reading a book like "Oh, hi mom!" Nothing like making yourself right at home! Sheesh :)
The fun continued when we met up with Allie and Oakley for a picnic and playdate at the park! These 2 girls were all about sunglasses and the slide :) Oh how we miss our friends!!
I couldn't help but take tons of pictures of her asleep while we were in Lewiston.. She always crashed so hard after a fun day or afternoon of play!
Jen worked during the day, so we partied together at night when she got off! Love these girls SO much!! Crazy how complete strangers turn into your BEST friends <3
Bella :) Seriously I'm dying over the cuteness!!
We headed out for some icecream and a walk by the river! Love getting to see these girls <3
Adalynn LOVES Bella. Like I mean LOVE LOVES Bella ha ha! Our whole trip she was always wanting to play with her and be by her. On our night walk by the river, Bella reciprocated the love ha ha!!
Adalynn took off towards the car with Mike. It was so cute!
These 2 goobers were hugging and kissing it out ALL. Night. Long! So funny and cute!
Our last day in Lewiston, we hit up the Aquatic Center one last time with Oakley and Allie! Of course, Adalynn was thrilled to be back again! She is such a fish!!
Pretty much sums up our visit... Adalynn being crazy wild splashing and Oakley being totally over it! Sorry girl, she is such a wild one!
We headed out to our next stop, Kennewick! Jordan flew in the next day, so we headed to see some more friends and of course, do some much needed shopping!
Peace out Lewiston <3 Thanks for the memories and friends!
She slept like a champ the whole drive. A nap seemed appropriate before partying with more friends!
Shopping with my bestie <3
That moment when you're just too tired to finish the last pretzel in your hand... ha ha! I totally laughed out loud!
We were waiting for friends to show up for some fun and Adalynn fell in love with the flowers. MUST smell them and name all the colors!
Oh I love you to the moon little girl!
So in Kennewick, there is a huge indoor Carousel that is so cool! We stayed with the Misners and of course, Adalynn had a ball with their little girl Persa!
Double trouble! Too cute!!
Even a bike ride pulled by Jesse. Can you say spoiled?!
Our week was fun with friends, but we were more than ready to see Jordan again! We waited at the airport for him and let's just say that Adalynn "assumed the position" to tackle her daddy! ha ha!
Such a happy girl! Daddy is home AND brought her a Pluto pez and a fire truck! We was soooooo excited!!!
No need to hold my hand when daddy is back! We sure missed him! Her avidly holding his hand totally melted my heart <3
Checked on her before bed to find a purple friend keeping watch! Totally scared me at first!
This sweet girl makes Mondays better :)
Always cooking something with her play food! She still hasn't mastered the "pretending" part yet ;)
Still living in a mess while we unpack boxes, but Adalynn was just happy to have her toys again :)
Love me some bath time with this girl! So much personality!... And splashing lol
Such a fun day together just us girlies! She knows just how to heal my heart <3
How can I resist taking a pic of her pretty much EVERY day??!!
No better way to start your Saturday than playing hooky in your pjs at Krispy Kreme while Daddy sleeps in!
Raspberry fingers!
Pretty in pink for church <3
A fun Sunday walk around our subdivision! Adalynn loves to collect rocks and explore :)
We ended up at the park having some family fun!
LOVE this little family of mine!!!
Can't beat a fresh piece of juicy cold watermelon after a fun family night at the park!
Because Sunday church, your favorite dinner, and a night at the park wear a girl out! :) :)
Her smile couldn't have been any bigger to be in big girl undies. OH geez what a ride!... Let's just say that potty training hasn't been my favorite stage! She was almost completely trained before we moved, but regressed quite a bit after all the changes. Understandable, but twice as hard to get back on track!
Feeling good and getting stuff done!
On the other hand, this is all I got from Miss sassy pants!
Her curls needed a trim and holy cow was this a fun little place! Daniel Tiger and driving a power wheel?! She was in heaven! Yes they had pink ones, but she insisted on the cop car lol
Our little 630 am visitor scared of the super loud garbage tuck! SO thrilled that he comes every week at 630am on Thursdays for the foreseeable future.... UGH!
<3 <3 <3
Trip to Ikea wore this stinker out! So much, that she had to prop her head up with BOTH blankies to make the drive home ha ha! #mylittleshoppingbuddy
OH just grillin steak with one hand and holding Adalynn in her Doc McStuffins underwear with the other hand..NBD! Just another day at the Martitz house! lol

Beach bummin' and skipping rocks <3
Up at the crack of dawn and took over our bed to go back to sleep... Good thing she is cute!!
