The cold weather has crept in and welcome to October at our house! When I got ready to sit down and type out this post, I thought oh this shouldn't be too long. We didn't really do anything cool this month... ha ha! WRONG! Boy do those little everyday moments add up and fun family outings! I am taking the leap and doing it all in one post, so buckle up!
We were still enjoying the 80 and 90 degree weather in the beginning of October and headed out for a family walk! We were so excited to go that we forgot the keys and had to break in when we got home! Never a dull moment! Thank goodness Adalynn's window was open from the night before ;)
Quite the little cookie monster for a helper! Ugh that face! Love her! She loves to make cookies and then say num num num num like cookie monster on sesame street. So fun!
Taking a peek.....
Always a laugh a minute.... this girl is SUCH a morning person! We enjoyed a jammie day together just being at home :)
uh oh...Trouble should have been her middle name! Looked back in the car after I gave her an applesauce pouch out of a last resort, and she decided to paint her pants and carseat with it! Uggghhh... I'm not going to have any hair left!
Sweet sleeping angel <3
{cute stuff}
Oh this sight will never get old.... She has her daddy wrapped around her finger!
After not seeing much of Jordan from him working so hard, we planned a fun little weekend together. We kicked it off with of course our favorite, Blaze! Boy do I love these 2 humans!
Next stop, the Boise Zoo! We have been talking about taking Adalynn FOREVER and we were so excited to get to go finally! Adalynn had a blast and loved to pet some of the animals too. Of course she had to do the sounds with them all ha ha
Yep! I even snuck in a picture which most of the time is unheard of lol
Oh the benefits of having a tall daddy! She was looking at them like whoa! you super close to me!
The petting zoo was sure a hit with Adalynn! Some of the faces she was making with the animals so close are hilarious!
This little guy ran right up to the glass to see her. She kept looking back at us like um is he supposed to be that close to me?! lol
More time with dad and she sure soaks it all in! Watching them play and wrestle makes my heart completely melt!
Don't mind me dad.... just climbing you :)
The first weekend in October is always General Conference. Twice a year, I always look forward to counsel and the talks from apostles and our prophet from Salt Lake City. It was a beautiful Sunday to listen to counsel from the scriptures and scrapbook! The Mormon Tabernacle Choir opened conference with one of my childhood favorites "If the Savior Stood Beside Me". It was so beautiful!
Well it has been over 3 years since our big day and I am so excited to have finally finished our wedding book! Such an incredible day to remember forever <3
She is {ALL GIRL} that's for sure! Always has to have a necklace and anything mommy has, including perfume and lotion.
Nothing like driving at the Depot doing some playroom shopping!
Running errands with this cute girl! That smile kept her out of some trouble.....
Yep I am one of those crazy moms that can't choose just one cute picture to post... so this happens!
Mom had a clip in her hair... So Adalynn had to have a clip in her hair... She is such a mini me!
Who needs a bath when you can just run around naked with your popper? #priorities
Oh my gosh... these are her locks!!!! Be jealous.... I'm JEALOUS! Love my curly Sue!
I don't care what season it is, 85 degree weather is ice cream weather!
Ok so like I previously mentioned, Jordan has been working his tail off lately and we haven't seen much of him! I got some tickets to a preseason Idaho Steelheads game and we had a fun Friday date night together!
So grown up! She loved clapping and cheering and watching the bear on ice skates!
These two crazies are two peas in a pod! Always being silly!
Love our little family!!
A whole new world.... Who needs toys? Mom has a pretty fun blow dryer!
As much as I wish that we got to go out more often, I love fun dates at home! We broke out Sorry and watched the Backup Plan :)
One of my cousins came back from his mission in South Africa, so my family came up for his homecoming! Preston gave a great talk and we had fun catching up at their house afterwards in Meridian :) I love family time and this bunch of people!
The Moorhouse's have a trampoline, so while we were there, Adalynn gave it a try for the first time! Can you see that big smile on her face?! She had a ball for sure :)
She loves her uncles!
Because sitting in your chair FRONT ways is just too mainstream ha ha!
Oh be still my heart.... such a sweetheart!
Such cute cleaning help on a sunny Monday!
Actually being able to get ready and out the door without your active toddler tearing apart the house in the process is a major win.... sooooo let's take a selfie lol
A rough day for both of us calls for some cuddle time and crying together.....
Ohhh man this day was SO fun! With the time change and it getting darker WAY sooner, it was tricky to get to the pumpkin patch before dark! Jordan rushed home from work and we rushed down there as the sun was going down! We did the hayride out to the field and boy was it nippy!
She went around patting all the pumpkins until she found one that she liked :)
Aaaaand our pumpkin picked her pumpkin!
Already dark by the time we came in from the hayride and wheeled our pumpkins to weigh! Now time for some fun! Linder Farms has so many cool things to do. Adalynn had a ball!
First stop, the petting zoo!
With her obsession of trains, she was pretty dang thrilled to ride and I was pretty thrilled to get to ride with her!
Oh how I love this girl! So blessed to have her in our lives!
She didn't know what to think about the dried corn box. Eventually, Jordan jumped in with her and played around.
Another favorite! She loves tractors :)
Racing with dad! I rode around trying to take pictures while they were driving... I know I'm the crazy mom :)
This little missy was in for her 18 month check up! She is healthy and growing like a weed! In only 6 short months, she has grown 3 inches and gained 4 pounds! Still 98th percentile in height favoring her daddy and 83rd percentile in weight. keep it up girl! We love you so much! #34inches #26lbs#almost18months #growinggirl#DrMoorhouse
Shot day is rough, so Super Salad, a favorite, was in order! She is such a trooper!
She loves when daddy comes home so he can read to her!
Nothing like getting a Halloween book about Idaho in the mail from Great Grandma and Grandpa Dutry! She was pretty excited!
<3 I wish I looked that cute when I'm sleeping!
"Hey daddy, whatcha cookin?!" Benefit #278 of having a tall dad! she always runs through his legs and thinks it is hilarious!
Blowing Grandma, Grandpa, and Justin kisses before bed! I love technology! She also had to show them her counting to 13 skills :)
Oh man this is so hard for me to even type.... Probably one of the worst days EVER. My mom called me up and told me that my childhood dog, Scooter, had been hit by a car and was killed. I completely lost it and was absolutely hysterical. Scooter wasn't just a pet or a dog. He was genuinely a part of the family. He went everywhere with us and was my mom's shadow. When I lived at home, he was my buddy and sensed when I was hurt or something was wrong. I have never loved an animal so much in all my life. I was in complete shock and couldn't control my emotions at all. Jordan left work, we threw a bunch of clothes in a bag, and headed for Twin Falls. Adalynn had never seen me like that and so she was scared and cried. I was so angry that that had happened and that he had been taken from our family so soon. We got there to be able to see him and eventually bury him in my parents backyard. My heart heart so bad and my whole family was so upset. I don't think my head has hurt that bad from crying so hard in all my life. I still can't imagine him being gone and the wound is still pretty fresh. We love him so much and I am grateful that we will see him again one day!
Poor Adalynn had no idea what was going on and boy did she handle things like a champ. She kept a smile on our faces as she ran around playing all weekend.
Adalynn also was confused why Grandma and everyone else was crying too. She would randomly walk up to my mom and give her big kisses and hugs as she cried. It is so amazing how tender little ones are and how they know when we are hurting.
We stayed the weekend and of course had to do Salsa Sunday before we left back home. Adalynn had never had my dad's fresh salsa before and she LOVED it! Like really really LOVED it. She started dunking chips.... then scooping salsa on her chip... then just grabbing the spoon to eat it by the spoonful! I don't know any one year olds that like salsa!
Back home to get back to reality. She was such a good sport all weekend while we all were hurting so bad.
She is growing like a week and looks huge in that crib of hers!
Always an audience while getting ready and going to the bathroom! How can I get mad when that cute face is smiling at me?!
Grocery shopping with mom, met daddy for lunch, and a nap with Big Bird! Pretty sweet day for this little human :)
Taking on the world starting with Costco first :)
Jordan has a new trainer! Lol Adalynn says, "Run! Run!" and takes off pulling Jordan in tow
Ahhh the cuteness!! She gets more and more grown up and beautiful every day!!
Look dad, the horn! Jordan let her drive in the parking lot of Lowe's and she was in heaven!
More playroom shopping, but this time, with a better view! :)
Headed out to do a little shopping and Saturday shenanigans. Can't even handle the grown up ness!! I'm dying!
Just waiting for dad so naturally let's pull out the camera because I don't already take enough pictures!
This girl is so strong! Throwing up with a fever and she was still running around in her Elmo slippers with a smile. Nothing stops her happy!
I wish I was this happy and cute when I was sick! Look at that grin! You would never know!
A favorite potato, bacon, and corn chowder recipe is a hit for a cold day! YUM!!
I worked on a project for my aunt's dental office late one night and it was just me, Photoshop, and my new Carrie Underwood CD! I love graphic design :)
Adalynn must have been a bit cold this morning, so she took matters into her own hands and sat right on top of the heat vent!ha ha She giggled while saying, "hot! hot! hot!" oh man she cracks me up.... #winteriscoming#shedoesntdocoldeither
The Target toy catalog came in the mail, so I let Adalynn look at it in the car.... Man she takes that crap seriously, look at the concentration!#allbusiness
I had to go in for some large bumps on my head and she was just thrilled that she wasn't the one being seen!
The playroom was nearing completion with the bookshelves delivered, curtains hung, and couch delivered!
At it again! This time checking out the Costco ad. She even has her shopping cart close by and ready! I swear she is making her Christmas list.... #targetandcostcoiswhereitisat
Ugh every time I peek into her crib, it feels like she has grown an inch or two.... Maybe that's why I am so obsessed with sweet sleeping pictures of her. Because tomorrow she will be one day older. One day closer to riding a bike. One day closer to dressing herself, her first day of school, her first lost tooth....one day closer to exploring all this world has to offer ❤ One day farther away from this crazy blissful time that is now. Motherhood is everything to me and this sweet girl is sure a blessing ❤#ijustwanttopickherupandsnuggleher#AdalynnClaire
Olive fingers! What a discovery!
A few days before Halloween, there was a huge city wide trunk or treat at the Meridian City Hall. We took our little Minnie Mouse and she had a blast! She wasn't a fan of the dressed up characters, but she loved getting candy in her bucket!
Firetruck tour!
Oh boy... yes Elmo was there too! She was so excited!
I'm a sucker for a gorgeous sunrise or sunset! This was so breathtaking!
Love my princess!!
Happy 18 months old sweet girl!
Carving pumpkins is serious business! Jordan gave up and just did his whole pumpkin with the drill! Such a guy lol
Adalynn wasn't a fan of all the slimy strings. She kept holding her hand up for us to wipe it off! ha ha
Such a morning girl so we played in her room and wrestled while waiting for daddy to wake up!
Being festive since it was Halloween and wearing orange and black!
All ready to go :)
This completely melted my heart to watch... I admit I got a little teary seeing Jordan take her trick or treating for the first time! They both had a lot of fun while I stayed home and handed out candy!
She LOVED to answer the door and in the meantime, she watched out the window for the kids to come to the door. How cute is that?!
Whew so much for me thinking it wasn't a busy month... wow! November shenanigans to come soon!
Love,
Jordan & Elise
