Closing out 2015 is just mind blowing to think about! Where has the time gone SO FAST?! Here is our November shenanigans :)
After several several weeks of planning and ordering and decorating, Adalynn's upstairs playroom is FINALLY finished!! It turned out so great and even more, she LOVES it! I had a blast planning every little detail that she would love. Taking her up there for the first time was absolutely priceless :) She ran around to every toy and corner while giggling and smiling.
The full room. Hard to get it all in!
Of course, we HAD to have a reading nook for our little bookworm!
After playing with everything she could think of, this was her face :) Sunglasses and all! LOVE her!!
After all night playing upstairs in her new playroom, she was out like a light!! She grabbed her binki and blanket and drug my hand to her room :)
Such a fun day together! She was quite the helper while I cleaned and while Nolan and Jordan were watching wrestling, we snuck out for an icecream date!🍦 I love spending everyday with her!
Early morning snuggles with her blankie... Ugh time change is so rough!
Our house was so feeling so cozy on such a cold and blustery day! I had potpourri simmering on the stove and my new door vinyl came to put on! I love all the little touches to make a house a home <3
This is what happens when daddy bedazzles you with mom's scrapbook stuff!!
Her first potato head! She loves picking out all the parts and making a face. She was a little confused why I wanted a picture ha ha!
Ok so I like to scrapbook. Scratch that... I LOVE to scrapbook! But this whole wife/mom/family thing make it a little more challenging! A couple times a year, my mom does a scrapbook retreat in Twin Falls with a bunch of our scrapbook buddies. This wasn't the most convenient time to go, but Jordan made it happen to watch Adalynn so I could have a fun scrapping weekend with the girls! I had to document this... I was packed and ready to go almost 2 weeks before.... I was a little excited to start Adalynn's baby book and be with the girls!
A 20mph day meant it was finally time to wear a coat! Ugh I just want to eat up her cuteness :) We didn't do anything crazy on this windy Saturday, but it was fun just to be together as a family!
Adalynn is nursery age now and sure made herself known on her first time! She wanted to be the teacher and even stole a little girl's cookie and ate it right away with no remorse! Not such an awesome way to make friends....
Kind of a Sunday tradition that we started! After church and nap, Adalynn and I always bake some yummy cookies to make those Sunday nights together even sweeter :)
We were waiting in the waiting room to get Adalynn's haircut, and she was playing with the toys. She runs over to me with this buff, dark haired wrestler action figure dude and screams "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" I was totally dying and so were all the stylists!
Trim #2 for this cute girl! She did great again! The top of her hair grows crazy fast and is so much thicker than the rest, so we have to even it out pretty often :)
Headed off to Twin for a fun scrap weekend! This girl is a total champ in the car!
A car full of scrapbook stuff and a sweet sleepy girl! Twin bound!
The first day of the scrapbook retreat, Jordan had to work, so Auntie Kerin played all day with Adalynn. She was all ready to go with her "loved by auntie" shirt ;)
Sometimes you just feel like taking a selfie... because you can!
Enjoying some morning cuddles with my sweet girl before heading off to scrapbook on day #2!
I have been dying to work on Adalynn's baby book. Here is a page I did while I was there!
So um Jordan is pretty dang sweet! He left this cute note on my windshield while I was scrapping! Totally melted my heart! As if taking Adalynn for the whole weekend wasn't already sweet enough.....
All stretched out! You would never know she wasn't in her own crib!
Friday Afternoon, I didn't feel well. Like I was SITTING on the floor of the scrapbook room. My feet and hands were tingly and my stomach felt horrible. I headed back to rest and hopefully feel better. Just my luck, I ended up SOOOOO sick that whole rest of the day and night. Throwing up and miserable. I was so bummed! I had been looking forward to scrapbooking FOREVER! Luckily it only lasted that day and a little the next morning. It was manageable by then and I headed out to eat lunch with these cuties and got back to scrapping!
Part of the room we were scrapping in :)
Another page layout for Adalynn's book
Scrapbooking is pretty awesome, but my dad's salsa makes it even better!!! SO spoiled!
Sunday church with this cutie pants! With that smile, you would never know that she was so naughty in sacrament meeting. They don't come any cuter than this!
Sunday afternoon, we snuck in some updated extended family pictures! Afterall it IS Christmas card season ;)
Jordan's Family
Nolan, Kerin, Rita, Elise, Adalynn, & Jordan
Jordan's brother Nolan and Django
The 3 siblings!
My Family
Eric, Justin, Lee, Michelle, Elise, Adalynn, & Jordan
A friend took ours a few weeks before and Adalynn wasn't too cooperative, but with a little photoshop and editing, they came out great! I sure love our little family!
We packed up and headed back for Boise. Adalynn was SO excited to be home again! She immediately ran and jumped on our bed and started throwing the pillows off ha ha
I couldn't help but give Jordan a big shoutout on Monday because he truly was amazing that weekend in Twin Falls!
I opened the car door to find this... we are losing this binki war!! ughhhh
She LOVES her trampoline and that smile is to die for!
Jordan ended up sick a few days after we got home, so Adalynn and I headed out for some fro yo and fresh air!
Most kids won't keep their hats on! Well Adalynn wouldn't take hers OFF! Can't help but smile at all that cuteness!
This is her "it's snowing" face! Tongue and all ha ha
Fun trip to Hobby Lobby! I couldn't hold back from looking at Christmas decor any longer!
wink emoticonlol Every single cart had glitter covering the bottom of it! Tis the season!
There were a ton of reindeer when we walked in and Adalynn said her loudest animal voice, "MOOOOOOOOO!" ha ha! We had to have the conversation that that was a reindeer, not a cow!
grin emotico
Jordan met up with us to say hi and told Adalynn she could pick out an ornament. Of course, she ran right up to the Thomas the train ornament and was thrilled. She proceeded to drive the train all over Jordan's face because clearly, there was no better place! I was laughing so hard and so was Jordan! She would occasionally pause while he laughed because it made his face too bumpy to keep driving it on. ha ha ha!!
Never a dull moment at our house!
It was such a shame that Costco doesn't open till 10.... So we stopped at Krispy Kreme for a little breakfast fun :) Adalynn picked all her strawberry sprinkles off first and then ate the rest of the doughnut. Too funny!
I LOVE picture update day! Makes me so happy to have such fun memories hung up all over our house!
A fun Saturday headed out to Christmas shop, but first stop was Blaze of course! Our favorite pizza place!
At the mall picking candy out of the twisty machines.... She was so mesmerized!
Last year we bought a Polar Express set that had the book, movie, and bell in it. We saved it for this year, wrapped it up, and let her open it. She loves trains so she was so excited!
More cookie adventures with this munchkin! The peanut butter batter was so good, she had to sit down with the bowl!
Boy do we love our Adalynn girl! All her little features are pure perfection <3
That little smirk melts my heart!
We were going a bit stir crazy with the cold weather inside, so we had a little swimming outing! She remembered the water fast and had a ball going down the water slide. She even learned to jump in the pool from the side! Such a fishy
Love these little moments......
"Today I am grateful for a fresh new start everyday. The last 24 hours have been less than pretty.... It has included one crazy stressed out mommy, one busy independent toddler, a burnt attempt at dinner last night that resulted in fast food at Arctic Circle, tons of late night laundry and packing, and topped off with a terrible horrible dream that shook me to my core at 430am. Things can only go up from here. 4 days in Twin Falls giving thanks with family? Yes please!"
Totally dumped a crazy snow storm the day we left for Twin Falls for Thanksgiving! While it was so pretty outside, it was NOT fun to drive in!
All squeaky clean for the road!
Little gobble girl in her Thanksgiving outfit!!
This is Jordan's "happy to be off work" face and I absolutely love it!
Got to cook with this babe in the kitchen all day on Thanksgiving! Love being with family!
What is Thanksgiving without Grandma and a princess crown?!
My dad was dreaming of anywhere warmer with his joke of a Hawaiian shirt...
Grandma and Grandpa Rice, cooking up a storm in the kitchen!
Eric, Justin, Adalynn, and Tim
Grandma and Merle
Adalynn loving some story time with Uncle Eric
Mom and Dad
Having some fun game time!
We went to see a proposal at the CSI basketball game and then had a little date night doing some Christmas shopping and having some fun at SIPS!
Dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Dutry who spoiled Adalynn with a Christmas Mickey Mouse book! She was so excited!
Love catching these special little moments.... Breakfast with Grandpa on Sunday while I was getting ready for church <3 So sweet!
My mom got a new dress from my dad and boy did these 2 look sharp for church!
After church and packing up the car, Adalynn had to have a basket ride from uncle Eric before we left! Too funny!
After coming back from Twin for Thanksgiving, we started to slowly get out Christmas stuff! I needed to make a trip to Hobby Lobby for a few tree decorations and a few other items, so off we went shopping!
My shopping buddy!
Had to feel the snow in the driveway before getting in the car!
I let her hold a few tree spray sprigs and I turned around to this ha ha!!
She was dying to touch these reindeer antlers so I let her hold them. When I turned back around she had put it backwards all by herself. I was cracking up!
Helping daddy get out the tree. She had this weird look like "what is THAT??"
So much wonder in something as simple as Christmas lights! A whole new world for Miss Adalynn this Christmas!
And last but not least, THIS! I told her that she was now 19 months old and this was her reaction. Seriously! Just when I think she can't get any cuter! She completes us so much! Happy 19months baby girl!
Love, Jordan & Elise
